It was a very good itinerary and the hotels were great.
Ellie and I returned safely and happily from our Ecuadorean adventure. It was a strenuous trip for two ladies of a certain age and we did famously-going from sea level to 12,000 plus feet in a day and jumping out and hiking for two hours; hiking by flashlight in the jungle;jumping in and out of small boats with the help of a few strong hands.
It was a very good itinerary. Hotels were great. The hacienda was charming and the Magdelena Cooperative a lovely experience. Our guide, Rodrigo Correa was excellent as were Fabian (Galapagos) and Julio(La Selva). It seems that Rodrigo knows every city and road in the country as well as the history etc. Except for La Selva I think that was all Klein Tours-to be highly recommended. La Selva was also to be highly recommended. The staff was great. The guides were knowledgeable, accommodating and safety conscious. The food was gourmet and beautifully presented. Who would expect that in the jungle?
Thanks for making my second trip to South America such a success.
