We had a fantastic trip! The rainforest eco-lodge was beautiful and rustic, and the guides gave awesome tours of the river, jungle and even high in the canopy. The highlight of the trip was our backpack over Salkantay Pass. It was perhaps the greatest hiking of our lives, filled with incredible vistas and gorgeous wildlife. It culminated in a tour of Machu Picchu, which was even more amazing than we had imagined. We had a wonderful time with the guide, and were floored by the incredible food that they managed to prepare off the back of a mule. We wound down with a couple days in and around Cuzco, enjoying the culture, seeing the sights, and eating at Ananau, the hole-in-the-wall that's the best food in the Sacred Valley.
