Day 1 - Arrival in Bariloche
Arrive at the Bariloche airport or bus station, and meet your tour guide. Check in to the 4* Hotel Tronador, located on the shore of the emerald green Lake Mascardi. In this beautiful setting, you'll spend the next few days exploring the Bariloche and surrounding regions, known as the Patagonia Lake District. The landscapes are dominated by lush forests, mountains, snow-capped volcanoes, and of course, lakes. All meals, guides, tours, and entrance fees are included during your stay at the Hotel Tronador.
Day 2 to 4 - Explorations in the Patagonia Lakes District
Breakfasts at the Hotel Tronador start with homecooked waffles and other delicious Patagonian treats. From then on, its up to you how to spend your days in the backcountry of Bariloche. The Hotel Tronador, named after Mount Tronador, offers a number of activities to explore the Patagonia Lake District. Choose from guided activities like horseback riding, hiking, fishing, white water rafting, climbing, and birdwatching. Follow old cattle trails towards Mount Tronador, passing through pristine fields and countryside.
You can even partake in the daily chores of a nearby farm, such as milking cows, rounding up cattle, and gathering fruits and vegetables. The Puesto Cretón is a rural farm near the Manso River, surrounded by ñires beech trees. The farm produces milk, cheese, butter, and cream, and many of these dairy products are used to prepare the home-cooked meals served at the hotel. It's possible to spend the night on the farm in comfortable huts with iron stoves and beds, to allow guests to experience life on a remote Patagonian farm. Lunch on the farm includes a delicious menú al disco asado, barbeque cooked on a plough disk.
Day 5 - Bariloche
On your final day, transfer back to the city of Bariloche and fly to Buenos Aires or to the next destination in South America.
