    Day 2 - Day 3

    Watch from the comfortable ship as the fierce waves of the Drake Passage crash between South America's Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica. While you cross the Drake Passage, you will have the opportunity to learn about Antarctica's history and what makes it one of the natural wonders of the world.

    The Drake Passage is known for having some of the roughest and most unforgiving waters in the world, but it is a right of passage to Antarctica. The Passage is where two oceans meet; sailors say that it's either the Drake Lake or the Drake Shake.

    Day 4 - Day 12

    Finally, you have reached Antarctica! This endless, untouched, marshmallow land is embedded with vistas of nature and wildlife. Respectfully explore, as this untouched land is known for its solidarity and peace. If the weather permits, cross the Antarctic Circle and head ashore for hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. If you're feeling extra outdoorsy, you may have the chance to opt for a night spent ashore in a tent.

    Some highlights you won't want to miss are the South Shetland Islands, Deception Island, Half Moon Island, and Yankee Harbour. Diverse landscapes and friendly wildlife create rare photo opportunities. Make sure to visit the Lemaire Channel, as it is known to be one of the most beautiful passages in Antarctica.

    With the various wildlife, unique landscapes, and the pure joy you will experience when you spot your first glacier, your time in Antarctica will be unforgettable.

    Day 13 - Day 14

    After nine unforgettable days of cruising past penguin colonies, whales and spotting icebergs in Antarctica, the MS Fram will set out to cruise across the famous Drake Passage.

    During your sail from the Antarctic Peninsula to Ushuaia, at the southern tip of Argentina, you are free to attend the different lecture series offered aboard. Or recap your experiences in Antarctica with your fellow mates.

    Arrive in Ushuaia

    Day 1

    Begin your adventure in Ushuaia, the world's southernmost town. You can join the optional excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park or Lake Escondido before embarking MS Fram.

    Day 2

    Set sail for the Falkland Islands, located about 300 miles east of Ushuaia. Relax on board and keep your eyes open for wildlife as the experienced Expedition Team begins an onboard lecture series to prepare you for this adventure.

    Day 3 - Day 4

    The Falklands Islands are two large islands surrounded by little islands. As you travel west to the settled outposts in the Falklands, you will see family-owned farms that have kept alive for many generations. Watch as the sheep graze alongside colonies of albatross and rockhopper, king, and macaroni penguins.

    The Falkland Islands also offer crystal blue skies, seamless horizons, and beautiful white sand beaches. Penguins will come close as you walk around the island, giving you a fantastic opportunity to take photos!

    Set Sail for South Georgia

    Day 5 - Day 6

    During your time at sea, attend one of the lecture series that will help prepare you for South Georgia. Learn about the island's geology, glaciology, and wildlife.

    Day 7 - Day 8

    South Georgia is a nature enthusiast's playground with magnificent mountain scenery, glaciers, and beaches full of wildlife. Watch as elephant seals lounge in the sand and fur seals splash around in the cold water. There is so much to see here, not to mention the albatross overhead and the thousands of king penguins flocking to the island.

    Visit Fortuna Bay, abandoned whaling stations, a whaling museum, and Sir Ernest Shackleton's gravesite while you are in South Georgia.

    Day 9 - 10

    Enjoy another day at sea. The lecture series on deck will include a thorough introduction to the Antarctic visitor guidelines, as you move closer to the icy white continent of Antarctica.

    South Orkney

    Day 11

    Photographers love the South Orkney Islands due to its picturesque location. The South Orkney Islands are surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains, blue icebergs, and are full of endless wilderness. You will spend one day exploring these islands before sailing the Washington Strait to Coronation Island and Elephant Island.

    Day 12

    On your way to the Antarctic Peninsula, you can look through your photos, relax, attend a lecture, look for wildlife, or simply get ready for your arrival in Antarctica.

    Day 13 - Day 16

    Your adventure in Antarctica begins today. Remember this untouched land is dedicated to peace and science, so be respectful. Visit Deception Island to see the collapsed caldera wall or the natural harbor in Whalers Bay. Half Moon Island also awaits your arrival as one of the most beautiful parts of Antarctica, a gem among the island treasures.

    If weather permits, you will have the option to kayak, pitch tents ashore, or hike past some of the most beautiful, untouched places, on Earth.

    Day 17 - Day 18

    After some incredible days exploring Antarctica, one of the world's natural wonders, the MS Fram will head north towards South America.

    On your final day on the MS Fram, you will landfall in Tierra del Fuego. Once you have reached Ushuaia, consider joining an optional excursion or catch your flight home.

    The MS Fram awaits you in Ushuaia! Board the massive ship in the afternoon and set sail for Antarctica.

    Day 2 - Day 3

    Drake Passage stretches between the southern tip of Latin America and the Antarctic Peninsula. Early polar explorers were fascinated by these notoriously treacherous waters. On your way towards Antarctica, learn about the wildlife and history of the ice cold continent from the experienced expedition team.

    Day 4 - Day 6

    You've reached Antarctica! The air here will be colder, crisper, and you might need to add a few more layers of warm clothing. As one of the most untouched places on the planet, explore respectfully with your crewmates and Expedition Team. Visit Half Moon Island, Yankee Harbour, Cuverville Island, Neko Harbour, and more.

    If you have time for Peteramann Island, say hello to all of the friendly penguins who will have no problem approaching you. When clear weather opportunities arise, you can join in on hiking an active volcano, kayaking the icy waters, or pitching tents ashore.

    Day 7 - Day 8

    Spend two days sailing towards the gorgeous South Georgia. En route, listen to the numerous presentations about the wildlife, whaling and polar history in South Georgia.

    Day 9 - Day 10

    There really isn't a place in the world like South Georgia. Take photos of the striking mountains, glaciers, and beaches that surround you. It's unique position, draws an abundance of wildlife to the island, so have your camera ready as you will spot penguins, seals, and seabirds!

    At Sea

    Day 11 - Day 12

    You will sail for two days toward the Falkland Islands. Lookout for remote farms that have been family owned for generations, and keep your eyes open for colonies of albatross, penguins, and upland geese.

    Day 13 - Day 14

    Start your excursion on the Falkland Islands at the capital, Stanley. From Stanley, visit any of the town's sites as they are all in walking distance. Explore shops that are full of locally crafted goods, browse the historical artifacts in the museum, or go for a drink at any one of Stanley's lively pubs.

    Just like the other islands that you have visited, the Falkland Islands have just as much wildlife. So always keep your camera handy!

    Day 19

    After a long and exciting journey, you have finally reached Montevideo, Uruguay. While you're here, visit the oldest part of town, Ciudad Vieja, and the beautiful white-sand beaches that surround the city.

    Day 1

    Your journey starts in Ushuaia. Spend a few hours exploring the quaint town or join in on an optional excursion before boarding the MS Fram at nightfall. Relax as you set course through the scenic Beagle Channel to Antarctica.

    Day 2

    While you sail through the Drake Passage, you will have some time to kill aboard the ship. Join your fellow mates in spotting wildlife, albatross, and other seabirds. If you would rather relax in the comfort of the indoors, attend one of the many informational lectures that the cruise offers. During these presentations, you will learn about the history, environment, and wildlife of Antarctica, as well as the visitor guidelines from the Antarctic Treaty and International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO).

    During these two days at sea, you will have ample time to prepare yourself for the activities and excursions that await you in Antarctica. Learn from your experienced guides on board on how to interact with the fascinating penguins and other wildlife in Antarctica. The sheer amount of wildlife on this continent will astound you.

    Day 4 - Day 10

    You have finally reached Antarctica, the natural wonder you have been waiting to explore. Bundle up in some warm clothing, as you near this new terrain across the Antarctic Convergence. Keep those camera's focused as you pass by icebergs and near Antarctica.

    Some of the highlights include Deception Island, Half Moon Island, Yankee Harbour, Cuverville Island, Neko Harbour, and Paradise Harbour. Depending on the weather, you may partake in activities such as kayaking, an overnight in a tent or hiking excursions to a penguin colony.

    Drake Passage

    Day 11 - Day 12

    Plan to be out on the deck during your voyage from the Antarctic Peninsula to Ushuaia, because at the southern tip there is roughly about 600 miles of good weather.

    On your way back to South America, enjoy recapping the highlights of your trip with the expedition team and your crewmates on board.

    Day 13

    In the morning, you will disembark from the MS Fram in Ushuaia. Continue your adventure with an optional excursion to Buenos Aires or Rio de Janeiro, or simply catch a flight home.

    Meet the penguins as you explore the Falkland Islands! Here, there will be an abundance of wildlife and nature. The penguins are extremely friendly and curious, so don't be surprised if they approach you. On the second day here, explore Stanley, the island's capital. Put on some comfortable walking shoes, because this town is best explored by foot. You will have plenty of opportunities to visit the shops and restaurants or explore the wildlife outside of town.

    Day 5 - Day 6

    Spend two days cruising towards the beautiful South Georgia. While on the ship, attend some of the exciting presentations on the region's wildlife, whaling, and polar history.

    The expedition team has extensive knowledge of the geology and glaciology of South Georgia. One of their most fascinating stories told is that of Sir Ernest Shackleton's ill-fated ship 'Endurance', and the incredible bravery that saved them all.

    Day 7 - Day 8

    Sing carols and pour the eggnog as you celebrate Christmas Eve in South Georgia! With the magnificent mountain scenery, glistening glaciers, and beaches teemed with wildlife; you will not be disappointed.

    While in South Georgia, explore abandoned whaling stations, the whaling museum, a Norwegian whaler's church, and Sir Ernest Shackleton's gravesite.

    Day 9

    Today you continue course towards Antarctica. Learn about the wonders of the great white continent and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime. The topics of focus will be the fascinating history, unique environment, and wildlife of Antarctica.

    South Orkneys

    Day 10

    Make sure your camera is fully charged because the deserted South Orkney Islands are every photographer's dream. The snow-capped mountains, massive icebergs, and wilderness create beautiful Kodak moments. You only have one day here, so make the most out of exploring these islands.

    At Sea

    Day 11

    While at sea, you will cruise past the Washington Strait and Coronation Island before moving towards Elephant Island and Antarctica.

    Day 12 -16

    On the 12th day of Christmas, you will reach the stunning white continent, Antarctica! Your itinerary in Antarctica will be full of excursions, including Deception Island, the South Shetlands, and the volcanic caldera. The volcanic caldera is one of the few places in Antarctica that you can backpack and hike, a rarity that will offer an exceptional experience. You will also visit Half Moon Island, which offers the best views of icebergs.

    There will always be chances of kayaking and hiking if the weather permits. If you're lucky, you might be able to partake in hiking an active volcano, a rarity among many.

    Drake Passage

    Day 17 - Day 18

    After exploring the beautiful Antarctica for the past four days, the MS Fram will make its way north, back to South America. You will sail from the Antarctic Peninsula to Ushuaia. For a recap of your journey, tune into the lecture series on board where the expedition team will go over all of your incredible experiences of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and the South Orkney Islands.
