This tour combines our popular Tango, Samba, Waterfalls tour with the New Year's celebration in Rio de Janeiro. Starting in Buenos Aires, travel to Iguassu Falls and then through the Atlantic Rainforest to Rio de Janeiro, ringing in the new year in the "Marvelous City."

25th of Dec Arrival in Buenos Aires
Arrive in the Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE), where your guide will greet you and transfer you to the city. Enjoy dinner and a tango show at La Ventana, one of the famous tango club houses in the San Telmo district. See professional tango dancing couples, tango singers and musicians perform several traditional and contemporary tango songs and dances. Also includes is a 3-course dinner and Argentine wine. Afterwards, check into the 5* Hotel Regal Pacific Buenos Aires for the night.
26th of Dec Buenos Aires City Tour
After breakfast in the hotel, embark on a Buenos Aires city tour. See the Obelisk, situated in the center of the world's widest street, 9 de Julio Avenue. Also visit the Colon Theater, the Embassy of France, the financial district, and important plazas such as the historical Plaza de Mayo, and the elegant Plaza San Martin. Also visit the distinctive barrios, each with their own flair and characteristics: La Boca, San Telmo, Montserrat, Recoleta, Palermo, and Puerto Madero. On Puerto Madero, the city's renovated waterfront, you can stroll past trendy restaurants, yacht clubs, and skyscrapers, admiring the Woman's Bridge, which is supposed to resemble a woman dancing the tango. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps exploring one of the barrios more in-depth. Return to the Hotel Regal Pacific Buenos Aires for the night.
27th of Dec Arrival in Puerto Iguazu & Iguassu Falls Tours
Have breakfast in the hotel, and then transfer to the Buenos Aires Domestic Airport (AEP) for your flight to Puerto Iguazu. During this short flight inland to see the majestic Iguazu Waterfalls, your pilot may tip the wings of the plane so that you can look down at the massive network of waterfalls that make up Iguazu. Upon arrival in Puerto Iguazu, your guide will greet you and take you to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, one of the world's largest waterfalls. Actually, the Iguazu Falls are a network of over 275 waterfalls, flowing along the border between Brazil and Argentina. Spend the day exploring the Iguazú National Park, which surround the waterfalls on the Argentine side. You may see butterflies, birds, and other wildlife while hiking through the subtropical jungle. Admire the Devil's Throat, the largest of the waterfalls, from up close. Then take the Ecological Train back to the entrance of the park and transfer over to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls, to explore more. The Brazilian side offers more up-close views and even walkways and and elevator that give you panoramic views of the falls. In the evening, transfer to the 4* Hotel Bristol Viale Cataratas, located in the town of Foz do Iguassu near the Brazilian side of the falls. Dinner tonight is included in your stay.
28th of Dec Iguassu Falls Safari & Boay Ride
Eat breakfast in your hotel, and then return to the Brazilian side of the Iguassu Falls to explore this impressive natural wonder once again. You may want to opt for a Macuco Safari & Boat Ride, a popular tour that begins with a 4x4 off-road Jeep ride through the forest, past orchids and palm groves. Then take a 600-meter walk to the picturesque Macuco Falls. Continue walking to the banks of the Iguaçu River, where you board a boat for a cruise into the Iguassu Canyon, arriving at the base of the majestic waterfalls. You'll get up close to the falls and be covered in mist and spray! Then return to the shore and transfer back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
29th of Dec Atlantic Rainforest Tour
After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to the coach station for a scenic journey through the Atlantic Rainforest of southern Brazil. Pass through rolling hills, farmlands, and patches of subtropical forest dotted with Araucaria trees. At Curitiba, check into the 4* Hotel Pestana, and enjoy a complimentary dinner at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, walking to the shopping district of Curitiba, or relaxing in your hotel's swimming pool, gym, sauna, or lobby bar.
30th of Dec Curitiba Tour & Train Ride
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel, and then begin a full day of sightseeing in the Curitiba area. Curitiba is known for its Glass Opera House and Botanical Gardens. A short scenic drive away is the old Graciosa Road, which winds through the Atlantic Rainforest to the oldest port in the region. Visit the Dom Pedro II port, which was built in the early 16th century. Then continue the scenic drive to Morretes, a quaint little town founded in 1714. Known for its mate tea farming and its lovely Portuguese architecture. Stroll its cobblestone streets and explore the São Benedito church, Itiberê river, the Nossa Senhora do Rocio sanctuary, and the popular art and Archaeological Museum dated 1755. After the Morretes city tour, enjoy a delicious "barreado" lunch in a waterfront restaurant, included in your city tour. In the afternoon, transfer to the train station for a train ride back to Curitiba, traveling past rivers, waterfalls, tropical plants, flora and fauna.
31th of Dec Arrival in Rio de Janeiro, Sugarloaf & New Year's Dinner
After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to the Curitiba airport for the flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival in the Rio de Janeiro airport (GIG), a guide will greet you and take you on a city tour of Rio de Janeiro. First see the city from the panoramic vista of Sugarloaf Mountain, 1296 (395m) above sea level. Sugarloaf is a granite peak that is surrounded by beaches and the Guanabara Bay. To get to the top, take a cable car ride to Urca Mountain, and then another cable car ride to the summit. Sightseeing continues with a tour of Rio's historical past. Learn how Portugal's prince scandalously broke all family ties and declared himself Emperor of Brazil. Afterwards, check in to the 4* Hotel Copacabana Mar, located 2 blocks from Copacabana Beach. Tonight, enjoy a celebratory New Year's dinner at the hotel, and ring in the New Year's with the crowd on the world's most famous beach.

1st of Jan Rio de Janeiro City Tour, Corcovado Mountain
Enjoy a late breakfast in the hotel after celebrating New Year's Eve. Today's Rio de Janeiro city tour includes a visit of Corcovado Mountain. Board the trenzinho (cogwheel railway) to travel to the top of Corcovado, at 710m (2340ft). Enjoy panoramic vistas as well as a close-up view of the Christ the Redeemer statue, a 38-meter Art Deco-style statue with arms outstretched, welcoming all to the city. The monument was inaugurated on the day of Our Lady of Aparecida, 12 October, 1931 by then President Getúlio Vargas and cardinal Dom Sebastião Leme. Afterwards, get a close-up look at Rio's world famous beaches. Then spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
2nd of Jan Free Day in Rio de Janeiro or Tropical Island Tour
After breakfast in your hotel, enjoy a free day in the "Marvelous City," or opt for a Tropical Islands tour. This full-day tour includes a visit to the fisherman's village of Itacuruçá, located about an hour south of Rio de Janeiro. Ride a schooner boat through the Sepetiba Bay, where you may spot dolphins, kingfishers, parrots, turtles, and sting rays. Stop along the way for swimming in crystal clear waters. The tour includes a buffet lunch served upon arrival in Itacuruça. Explore this quiet island before returning to Rio de Janeiro.
3rd of Jan - Rio de Janeiro
Have breakfast in the hotel and then spend the morning at your leisure. Once you need to transfer to the airport, a driver will be ready to take you to the Rio de Janeiro International Airport (GIG) for your flight home or to your next Brazil destination.
