Ecological Tour
The most complete tour in the Iguazu Falls area. Enjoy the unique view of 275 falls surrounded by the lusty virgin jungle of the Iguazu National Park which protects over 200 species of flora and 400 species of birds and wild animals. A special environment for countless adventure activities. Get away from the massive flow of tourists and relax at Yacutinga Lodge in the heart of the Rainforest, a unique place surrounded by mysterious wildlife.
Day 1 - Buenos Aires / Puerto Iguazú
Arrive at the local airport and transfer to Hotel Sheraton International***** within the Iguazú National Park. These magnificent falls, surrounded by a most exuberant subtropical forest have been named by UNESCO as one of the Natural Monuments considered as Mankind´s Heritage. Excursion with a nature guide to: the Argentine Falls, walking along the Upper and Lower Paths to get a really close view of the imposing 275 waterfalls which cascade down the fall from a height of 70 meters, as well as an amazing variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies. Return to the hotel. Dinner included.
Day 2 - Puerto Iguazú
Breakfast. In the morning, visit the Brazilian falls for a panoramic view of the falls framed by a myriad of rainbows. Take an open train out departing from the Visitor Center to make the journey up to "Garganta Station" where you will get off for a 1,200 meter walk up to the Devil's Throat balcony, to share one of the greatest shows on earth. Return by train to the Visitor Center.
Then take the "Great Adventure", a brief navigation that will allow you to approach the bottom of the San Martín and Tres Mosqueteros Falls with an outstanding view of the Devil’s Throat. Take a 4WD truck for a fascinating jungle safari to get in touch with the secrets of the rainforest. Return to the hotel. Tonight you will enjoy a typical Brazilian "Churrasco" dinner with show.
Day 3 - Puerto Iguazú / Yacutinga Lodge
Breakfast. Excursion with 4WD vehicles to Iguazu Forest Reserve with its exclusive eco-touristic resources. Admire interpretative geobotanical circuits, giant and strangulating trees, natural palmettoes, giant ferns (arborescents) and ecological bridges. Trekking, abseiling or tyrolese is also possible.
In the afternoon, depart for Puesto Tigre. Transfer through the Argentine National Park to La Blanquita Bay, where you board motor boats to navigate the upper Iguazú River up to the main port of Yacutinga Lodge. Final transfer through the Yacutinga Private Natural Reserve up to the Lodge. Welcome drink. Rest of the Day at leisure to enjoy the comforts of the Lodge in a relaxed atmosphere within the majestic Rainforest. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 4 – Yacutinga Lodge
Breakfast. In the morning, take a guided hike through the Rainforest to the San Francisco River for a floating photo safari, observing wild fauna through this "Gallery Forest" . Lunch at the Lodge.
In the afternoon, a escorted wildlife excursion takes you to the various interpretation trails of the area. After dinner you will have the chance to experience the jungle at night! Return to the Lodge and overnight.
Day 5 – Yacutinga Lodge / Puerto Iguazú / Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Free time to explore one of the self guided trails and relax by the pool before transferring back to Puesto Tigre and onwards to the Puerto Iguazu Airport. Flight to Buenos Aires.
