Day 1 Arrival in Salta
Arrive at the Salta Airport (SLA) and transfer to the downtown Salta area. Check in to the 4* Hotel Design Suites Salta. The hotel is located in the historical center of the city, across from General Belgrano's square. Relax in the hotel and explore the city at your leisure.

Day 2 Salta City Tour
Breakfast in the Salta hotel, and then take a city tour of Salta. Climb the Cerro San Bernardo, which lies at the outskirts of the city and gives a nice view of the city itself. Then visit the Cathedral, Church of San Francisco, Town Hall, Historic Museum of the North, and other highlights. Finish at the crafts market, where silver trinkets and handicrafts are a great buy. In the afternoon, relax in the hotel or explore the city more on your own.

Day 3 Free Day in Salta

Day 4 Visit Pumamarca & the Hill of Seven Colors
After breakfast, depart from Salta on a coach and pass through the villages of Quijano Field and White River. Continue to the Gorge of El Toro, near San Antonio de los Cobres, and then pass the salt flats and the Cuesta de Lipán, until you arrive at the village of Purmamarca, which sits on the Cerro de los Siete Colores, the Hill of Seven Colors. Then check in to the Estancia El Manantial Del Silencio, and relax in the hotel's pool, or explore the town on your own. This estancias is located opposite the picturesque Hill of Seven Colors. An alternative is to stay in a hotel in nearby Tilcara.

Day 5 Explore the Jujuy Region
Have breakfast at the estancia, and then depart from Purmamarca and continue towards Tilcara, known as the Archaeological Capital of Northwestern Argentina. Then visit Pucará and the Arqueological Museum. Then visit the church of Uquía, and then take a city tour of Humahuaca. Return to Salta and check in to the 4* Hotel Design Suites.

Day 6 Cafayate & Quilmes Tour
From Salta, this 2 day excursion to Cafayate and the Ruins of Quilmes is an excellent way to continue exploring the Argentina northwest in-depth, and is an especially great way to discover the wines for which Argentina is famous. Visit Cafayate, famous for its Torrontés wine and its beautiful geographic formations. Take a vineyard tour and several of the geographical formations in the region, such as the "obelisk," the "key," and the "devil's throat." Free time for lunch and exploring the area on your own. Stay in the 4* Viñas de Cafayate Wine Resort, overlooking the Cafayate Canyon and its granite hills.

Day 7 Transfer to Tucumán & City Tour
After breakfast in the wine resort, transfer to Tucumán and check in to the 4* Hotel Tucuman Center. En route, enjoy an outing to the ruins of Quilmes and Tafí, and the valley of Amaicha. From Quilmes, the bus journey continues to the peaks of calchaquíes, at the altitude of 3,042 meters. From there, descend towards the valley of Tafí, to visit its La Banda Church. Continue to the Gorge of Los Sosa, with its yungas vegetation. Then arrive in Tucumán and take a city tour to see the Cathedral, the Historical House of Culture, Independence Plaza, 9 de Julio Park, and other highlights. After the tour, spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 8 Departure from Tucumán
Have breakfast in the hotel and then transfer to the Tucuman Airport (TUC) for your flight home or to your next destination in Argentina.
