Day 1 Arrival in Trelew
Fly into the Trelew airport and greet your Patagonia travel guide. Begin your tour with a visit to the Punta Tombo penguin rookery, where a magnificent colony of Magellanic penguins live. Then transfer to the Estancia San Guillermo, located in the Cerro Avanzado about 17km from Puerto Madryn. This traditional Patagonian ranch offers close contact with gauchos at work, mini-trekking in the surrounding area, and explorations of the interesting geological formations nearby. Locals and researchers have found an extensive collection of fossils with paleonthological importance. Dinner is included tonight in your stay.
