Arrival in Santiago de Chile & City Tour

Day 1

Arrive in Santiago de Chile, the gateway to the Andes, situated between mountain peaks and the Pacific Ocean. Check into your hotel and get ready for your Santiago city tour. Visit the main square of Santiago, where you will see a beautiful combination of colonial and modern architecture. Next, visit the picturesque neighborhoods of Vitacura, and Las Condes and admire the imposing skyscrapers. Finish your tour in Santa Lucia Hill, where the city was founded in 1541 and admire the panoramic views of Santiago from the hilltop.
After the tour, return to your hotel.

Casablanca Valley & Transfer to Valparaiso

Day 2

A visit to Santiago isn't complete without a tour through some excellent wineries! Travel West to the Casablanca Valley, famous for producing exquisite white wines. Today you will visit three vineyards where you will learn about the winemaking process and enjoy excellent wine tastings. 
After the tour, head to Valparaiso, a beautiful seaside town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. Here you will check into your hotel for the evening.

Valparaíso and Viña del Mar Tour

Day 3

Visit Valparaíso, the oldest port in Chile that still holds tremendous historical significance and is home to the Chilean House of Assembly and Senate. The upper and lower part of the city are connected by 16 funicular railways that were constructed around the turn of the century during a time when the city experienced tremendous growth.
From Valparaíso, continue along the coast to the beautiful beaches of Viña del Mar, the Garden City, named for its many parks and greenery. Make sure to visit the emblematic flower clock during your excursion.
Transfer back to Santiago in the late afternoon.

Day 4

Depart from Santiago towards the Colchagua Valley. In the center of the valley, you will find Santa Cruz, one of the most beautiful towns in Chile. Visit the Plaza de Armas (main square), the heart of the city. 
Today you will visit a few wineries in the region, some of the most prominent wineries include Viu Manent, Santa Laura, Bisquert, Mont Gras, and Montes. Most of the wineries were establish during the 19th century, with vines brought from France.
Today you will visit two different wineries in the region. Learn about the winemaking process and enjoy delicious wine tastings. Return to Santiago, in the late afternoon.

Lake District in Chile Tour

Transfer to Puerto Montt & City Tour - Puerto Varas

Day 5

Fly from Santiago de Chile south to Puerto Montt. The gateway to Chile's Lake District. Start with a private city tour through Puerto Montt, the capital of the Lake District and learn about the German colonists that came across the indigenous Mapuche community and discovered Puerto Montt in 1853. 

Take some time to walk around the main squares and historical monuments in the downtown area. Afterwards, visit the port itself, including the fish market of Angelmó where you will find a large handicraft market filled with artisans and fresh shellfish. After visiting Angelmó, transfer to Puerto Varas, to your Lakeside Hotel.

Frutillar and Puerto Octay Tour

Day 6

Drive around the lake from Puerto Varas to Frutillar, here you will feel like you are taking a step back in time. In Frutillar, visit the spectacular open-air museum filled with restored colonial Chilean furnishings that date back to the early German settlement period, along with a working blacksmith shop. Throughout the summer, there are various classical music festivals held in Frutillar. Later you will continue to Puerto Octay. Drive back in the afternoon to Puerto Varas.

Peulla Tour

Day 7

Depart from Puerto Varas, skirting around Lake Llanquihue and take in magnificent views of the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Pass by the small village of Ensenada towards the Petrohué River. Enjoy some free time to take photographs and walk among the exuberant vegetation before continuing to the famed Todos los Santos Lake, also known as Emerald Lake due to the vivid blue-green color of its waters. Here you will see Osorno, Calbuco, Tronador and Puntiagudo Volcanoes looming in the background.
Board a catamaran at the pier and sail towards Peulla. In the afternoon, sail back towards the Petrohué Pier where you will transfer back to Puerto Montt.

Day 8

After breakfast, fly to Santiago where you can take a flight home or continue on your South America Tour.
