Please note:
Trekking in Torres del Paine requires good physical fitness. Trekkers should be able to hike 5-7 miles daily on muddy, rugged trails. Everyone should come equipped with a spirit of adventure and willingness to pitch in and help with camp chores. Each night is spent in hotels, cabins, or refuges with bunk beds, so no camping is necessary. Be prepared for rain, mud, snow, and high winds, even during the summer season. Summer tempatures can go as high as 75F and low as 33F, and daylight lasts until 10pm. Trekking season is typically November-April.

Day 1: Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales
Upon arrival at the airport of Punta Arenas, a transfer will await you to drive you to Puerto Natales. The road to Puerto Natales will lead you through the typical Pampa Steppes of the Magellan Region and you will encounter various animals like sheep, ñandus and a variety of birds. Shortly after leaving the airport you will make a detour to the penguin breeding colony at Seno Otway (depending on flight-time). Arrival at the town of Puerto Natales, situated on the banks of the Última Esperanza Bay. Overnight at a hotel in Puerto Natales.
Day 2: Puerto Natales - Hiking Base La Torres
After breakfast you will leave Puerto Natales. Within 2 hours, you'll arrive at Torres del Paine National Park, the starting point of your trek (7 hours roundtrip; 16 km / 9,94 miles). It will be a spectacular walk to the base of the amazing “Towers” of the Paine Massif. Along the way, enjoy views of the three granite towers that make the park famous. Dinner and overnight at Refuge Chileno in the Ascencio Valley.
Day 3: Refugio Chileno - Refugio Los Cuernos
Today you will hike along Lake Nordenskjöld below the imposing hanging glaciers of the Paine Massif to your refuge at Los Cuernos. It is a 5 hour trek: 11 km / 6,8 miles. Dinner and overnight at refuge.
Day 4: Refugio Los Cuernos - French Valley - Lake
Pehoé
After breakfast you will start a great trek into the most beautiful valley of the park - Valle Frances (total 6 hours = 24 km / 14,9 miles). The natural setting is magnificent; you will be surrounded by high peaks, huge granite walls and hanging glaciers on all
sides during your way up. In the afternoon you will descend to Pehoé Lake to rest and spend the night. Dinner and overnight at Paine Grande Lodge.
Day 5: Hike to Glacier Grey
Today you will enjoy a relatively easy hike to the immense glacier Grey. You will trek (3-4 hours = 11 km / 6,8 miles) along the eastern shoreline of the Lake Grey through a beautiful landscape with Calafate bushes. Enjoy impressive views of the lake with its numerous giant icebergs. In the afternoon you will arrive at the glacier lookout to see the glacier wall and vibrant blue icebergs from close by. Overnight and dinner at Refuge
Grey.
Day 6: Boat trip on Lake Grey - Rio Serrano
In the morning you will cross the Lake Grey by boat and land on the beach of the southern part of the lake. Here you will disembark and hike along the beautiful beach to Hostería Lago Grey where you can rest and drink a coffee. From the hostería you will be transferred to the western side of the park to arrive in the sector Serrano River in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the cabins of Cabañas del Paine.
Day 7: Rio Serrano & Boat trip to Puerto Natales
After an early breakfast you will leave Torres del Paine and start your navigation down the Serrano River to Mount Balmaceda. On the way you will have great views of the Southern Ice Field. Go for a short hike below the towering Mount Balmaceda and have lunch before you embark on a boat ride back to Puerto Natales in the early afternoon. Overnight at a hotel in Puerto Natales.
Day 8: Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas
After breakfast in your Puerto Natales hotel, your driver will take you to the Punta Arenas airport for your flight home or to your next Chile adventure tour.
