Arrival in Bogotá

Day 1

Upon arrival in Bogotá, an English-speaking guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel where you will spend two nights.

Day 2

After breakfast enjoy a sightseeing of the capital and visit the "Plaza de Bolívar" and the government buildings, the colonial centre and old city "La Candelaria", San Francisco and La Tercera Church the famous Gold Museum and its over 30,000 gold items that shows the rich culture of the pre-conquest time. Afterwards enjoy a breathtaking view of Bogotá and its surroundings from "Nuestro Señor Caído" sanctuary in Monserrate.

Nuqui Colombia

Bogotá to Nuquí & the Pacific Coast

Days 3-5

After breakfast, fly from Bogotá to the Pacific Coastal village of Nuquí. Stroll around the village and board a small motor boat to the south and Coqui bay. Opt to stay 3 nights at the nice El Cantil lodge that overlooks the sea and is surrounded by a tropical forest. El Cantil has more than 8 rustic bungalows equipped with shower baths, hammocks, mosquito nets and oil lamps. Each of the bungalows provide amazing view of the coast. They also provide diving lessons and underwater exploration. And from there you can explore both the coast and the jungle. Everyday the lodge offers different activities.

Nuquí to the Colombia Coffee Region

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer back to Nuqui and its airport to fly to Medellin. From there head to a nice coffee-growing plantation situated in the vicinity of Pereira, where you will spend two nights. Pereira is situated in the heart of Colombia's coffee-growing region. Spend 2 nights in an elegant finca, or hacienda, where the aroma of fresh coffee will wake you each morning.

Day 7

After an early breakfast take a jeep ride to the Snow Mountains named "Los Nevados" National Park to arrive near the crater Nevado del Ruiz volcano at 5,400 meters high. Enjoy the beauty of diverse landscapes and climates. At noon head back to the coffee region and Pereira to learn more about the production and cultivation process of coffee in the Colombian Mountains.

Day 8

After breakfast, fly to Bogotá to take your connection to Neiva. From there, transfer to San Augustin following the Magdalena River and enjoying beautiful landscapes of mountains. Once in the village, head to your hotel where you will spend three nights.

Day 9

After breakfast, visit the San Agustín Archaeological Park, Lavapata Ceremonial Fountain and the Archaeological Museum. In the afternoon, enjoy a horseback ride to the archaeological parks of El Tablón and La Chaquira.

Day 10

After breakfast, travel to San José de Isnos and visit the Archaeological Park with the Alto de los ídolos and Alto de la Piedras. See also the amazing cascades of Salto del Mortiño and Salto de Bordones. Spend the afternoon exploring the town of San Augustin.

Day 11

After breakfast, head back to Neiva to catch a flight back to Bogotá to take a connection to Cartagena on the Caribbean Coast. At the airport a guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel that overlooks the Caribbean sea. Spend the rest of the day as you wish.

Cartagena de Indias City Tour

Day 12

After breakfast, take a half-day city tour of this vibrant Caribbean port city. Cartagena de Indias is one of the most impressive urban centers in Latin American, oozing Caribbean flair and Spanish colonial history. Encircled by high defense walls built to evade pirates, Cartagena beckons exploration of its city walls, forts, colorful houses decorated with flowerboxes, and Spanish colonial-style rooftops. Visit the old city and its main buildings such as La Popa convent and the castle of San Felipe. During your free afternoon, opt to stroll around the city or swim in the Carribean sea.

Day 13

After breakfast, head to Islas del Rosario and its underwater National Park. Visit the San Martin Island natural aquarium, and watch a dolphin and shark show. Lunch is included on this tour. Continue to the Pirates's Island and take a refreshing dip in the crystalline waters of the Caribbean. Look for corals, starfish, and other marine life while swimming or snorkeling. In the evening enjoy a nice meal in one of Cartagena's best restaurants, included in your tour.

Day 14

After breakfast, head to the airport and fly to Bogotá. From there take a flight home or continue your Colombia tour with another destination in Colombia. You can also opt to transfer to a beach resorts in Cartagena, Capurganá, Santa Marta San Andrés or Providencia.
