Sunday, 07/02: Arrival via Sao Paulo at Foz do Iguassú.
Upon your approach to Iguazu International Airport, your pilot might tip his wings to give you your first view of the magnificent Iguassu Falls and the surrounding natural park of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. Your bilingual SouthAmerica.travel tour guide or representative escorts you to the fabulous 5* Bourbon Iguassu Golf Club & Resort on the brasilian side of the falls. Iguassu is famous for the movie "The Mission" and through the novel "The Honorary Consul" from Graham Greene.
Monday, 08/02: Golf at Bourbon Iguassú Golf Club & Resort. Have your first southamerican golf on the 18 holes course on 600.000m², Par 72 and about 6982 yards. Play golf in the borderland of the three southamerican countries Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Shot a drive from Brazil, let him pass Argentina and land in Paraguay! In the afternoon our SouthAmerican.travel guide shows you the Iguassú-water falls from the brasilian side. They are wider and more powerful than Niagara!
Opt on a full day excursion. First, cross into Argentina for a walk above the falls. A boat guides you to an island to get a close-up view of the Falls from below. The mist of the Falls engulfs you on the Brazilian side, as you walk out onto a platform and into the garganta do diabo, the 'devil's throat'. Opt for the Macuco Safari - a boat ride under the Falls on the Brazilian side.
Tuesday, 09/02: Sao Paulo
After a brasilian breakfast you check-out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for you flight from Foz do Iguassú to Sao Paulo. Arrival in Sao Paulo, transfer to the 4* Blue Tree Hotel Paulista. Have the rest of the day for relax and leisure. Welcome to Sao Paulo!
Wednesday, 10/02: Sao Paulo Guarapiranga Golf & Country Club
Today is your turn on one of the best golf courses of the Sao Paulo Guarapiranga Golf and Country club. The course is flat but with many strait fairways surrounded by old native trees. Many water obstacles give the 18-holes-course with a Par 70 and 6401 yards a special attraction. In the evening you will have the pleasure to meet a real brasilian Samba School a few days before carnival and discover their movements, music and preparation for the most important time of the year–The brasilian carnival!
Thursday, 11/02: Vista Verde Golf Club
Golf the whole day after a hearty brasilian breakfast on the course of the Golf Club Vista Verde surrounded by montains. Because of the mountain scenery you will enjoy fantastic views! Every hole of the 18-holes-course is a new challenge and for a good result you need a good strategy. The course has many waters and lakes and is strongly waved. All 18 holes have four standard tees for all classes. The course has 18-holes, Par 72 with 7021 yards.
Friday, 12/02: It’s CARNIVAL 2009! SAO PAULO
Prepare for the carnival 2009 starting in the Sambadrome of Sao Paulo!
Saturday 13/02: Salvador da Bahia
After our first night of the brasilian Carnival in Sao Paulo we check out and fly to Salvador de Bahia today. Welcome to the heart of Brazil! Check in the hotel in Costa do Sauipe and enjoy time for leisure and relax.
Sunday, 14/02: Golf-Link Costa da Sauipe
Golf at the Golf-Link Costa da Sauipe 18-holes, Par 72 and 6930 yards. Costa do Sauipe Golf Links is a marvelous course because of its glorious location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Monday, 15/02: CARNIVAL IN SALVADOR DA BAHIA
Transfer in the afternoon to Salvador. The carnival is the biggest attraction in Salvador de Bahia. It is the biggest street carnival of the world. You will enjoy on the streets of Salvador de Bahia a cultural manifest, a mixture of fun, party, music and theatral spectacle!
Tuesday, 16/02: Free day to relax, sunbathing or discovering Salvador on your own..
Wednesday, 17/02: Iberostar Praia do Forte Golf Club
Iberostar Praia do Forte Golf Club is the newest Golf Club of Salvador do Bahia. It is a 18-holes-course, Par 72 with 6817 yards. This course is adequate for rookies as well as for tournament players. Very special is the view on the bride ocean and the beach surrouned by palms. Very exciting is the 18. hole which is situated on the surge!!
Thursday, 18/02: Rio de Janeiro
From Salvador de Bahia today we fly to the “Marvelous city” Rio de Janeiro and check in the 4* Astoria Palace Copacabana! In the afternoon heat, everything slows down, and the Cariocas (as the people of Rio call themselves) head for the beach!
Friday, 19/02: Itanhanga' Golf Club Rio de Janeiro
Enjoy golf in the Itanhangá -Golf Club in Rio de Janeiro. The Course is with 27-holes, Par 72 with 6427 yards a very nice park with a generous driving range and an installation for short shots. The course is situated near the mountains and offers enough shadow in the hot summer months. In the afternoon you'll have a small sightseeing tour. Christ the Redeemer keeps an eye on Rio from an elevation of 710m (2340ft). Board the trenzinho (cogwheel railway) up to the top of Corcovado Mountain for a bird's eye view of the center of the city! It is the best time of the year to see the city of Rio because it is carnival time!
Saturday, 20/02:
- CARNIVAL IN RIO DE JANEIRO -
City sightseeing tour in Rio de Janeiro – The panoramic view from the top of the Sugar Loaf Mountain is the highlight of today's sightseeing tour. Board a cable car to reach the summit with its 360° spectrum of golden beaches, green forests and a thriving metropolis that has earned Rio de Janeiro the title of the "world's most beautiful city". Sightseeing continues with a tour of Rio's historical past. Learn how Portugal's prince scandalously broke all family ties and declared himself Emperor of Brazil.
In the afternoon we had for the Winner’s Parade to the Sambadrome. Witness Rio's 6 best Samba Schools - the Champions of the year! Each "school" is comprised of approx. 3,000 dancers!
