HIGHLIGHTS

• Excursion to Lake Sandoval, the most magnificent lake in the Tambopata National Reserve, with extraordinary landscapes of calm waters surrounded by aguaje palms and other primary forest trees. A breathtaking set of explorations allowing visitors to discover diverse Amazon ecosystems, including the mysterious floodable ecosystem. One of the most spectacular in the Amazon rainforest is the Rolin Island, where INKATERRA protects endangered primate species.
• Venturing into the rainforest by night, both on foot -along our lodge Trail System- and boat -searching for caimans and other nocturnal animals-.
• Overnight and full board at RESERVA AMAZŠNICA (3 days / 2 nights), includes breakfast buffet , lunch and dinner at one of the largest and best equipped kitchens in the southern Amazon.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Your journey to Tambopata National Reserve offers a range of land and river excursions that introduce you to the magic of the Southern Amazon rainforest. To help you experience the wonder of this magic place, we have prepared a suggested itinerary for your stay.
Create your own nature encounters from different excursions in a range of three intensity levels, some ideal for children, while others are for the more intrepid. Upon arrival, schedule your guided excursions (subject to weather, depending on your desired activity) with our Interpreter, who will also provide basic equipment and snacks.

DAY 1 Itinerary
Welcome in Puerto Maldonado. Visit Inkaterra Butterfly House near the airport, convenient check-in. Land transfer to boarding wharf. Begin rainforest experience on the 45-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River. Arrival at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica lodge. Short briefing. Settle into your beautiful cabaûa and lunch in the dining room. Siesta - refreshing tea time.
Guided walk along the Trail system in the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica natural area . First night Twilight River excursion. Afternoon cocktails followed by dinner served in the main dining room from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Retire early or join us to talk about your first day experience of life in the rainforest. Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 2 Itinerary
Rest in bed or rise early. Breakfast begins at 5:30 a.m. to avoid the heat and enjoy nature at its fullest; Full buffet. Visit the Sandoval Lake excursion into the Tambopata National Reserve. Return to the Inkaterra lodge for lunch. After lunch ž take Inkaterra Canopy Walk. May extend your excursion to appreciate the sunset from one of the towers. Back to lodge. Cocktails in the main dining room or during the daily nature presentation in the Eco-Media Center. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 3 Itinerary
Enjoy a full breakfast before departure. 45-minute return boat trip by boat on the Madre de Dios River to Puerto Maldonado Airport.
