Day 1: Ushuaia
Arrive in the southernmost city in the world and transfer independently to the hotel indicated on your voucher.
Day 2: Ushuaia
Excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park, a traditional Argentine BBQ asado lunch and embark in the afternoon. Your bags will be already in your cabin. Ship sails at 18:00 hrs through the scenic Beagle Channel.
Days 3 to 5: Drake Passage & South Shetland Islands
Crossing the famous Drake Passage, named after the 16th-century English navigator Sir Francis Drake - is an experience in itself. The ship is accompanied much of the way by albatrosses and many other seabirds. Cross the Antarctic Convergence, a natural border where cold polar waters sink beneath the warmer waters of the more temperate zones.
Land is usually sighted for the first time late afternoon on Day 4 - the South Shetland Islands, which lie to the north of the Antarctic Peninsula. Visit vast penguin rookeries and land on beaches with fur seals and southern elephant seals. You may also visit one of the many research bases in the archipelago. The ship sails through the narrow passage leading into the sunken caldera of Deception Island, where the adventurous will swim in the thermal waters of Pendulum Cove.
Days 6 to 9: Antarctic Peninsula
The Antarctic Peninsula, the most readily accessible part of the White Continent, has some of the best wildlife and scenery. You have plenty of time to experience the special magic of this awe-inspiring wilderness of snow, and AdÚlie Penguins and many seabirds nesting. Weddell, crabeater and leopard seals can be seen on ice floats and observe orcas, humpback, and Minke whales ice, waterways, and mountains. Expect to see enormous rookeries of Gentoo, Chinstrap.
You will visit Paradise Bay and nearby Neko Harbor. Glaciers fill the calm waters with an amazing vista of icebergs as you set foot on the Antarctic continent itself. Port Lockroy, a recently renovated former British scientific station that serves as one of the most isolated and intriguing museums in the world. The station also acts as a post office from which you can mail postcards home.
Neumayer and Lemaire Channels, are impressive narrow passages between towering rock faces and spectacular glaciers. Some voyages sail south of the Lemaire Channel to Petermann Island, where AdÚlie and Gentoo Penguins, skuas and Blue-eyed Shags nest close to the landing site.
Days 10 to 11: Drake Passage
You say good bye to Antarctica as you sail north across the Drake Passage, while you will still see whales and many seabirds. Farewell dinner with the captain.
Day 12: Ushuaia
Disembark at 08:00 AM after breakfast and transfer by bus to the Antarctic Unit office located at the entrance to the pier. Another transfer will be offered directly to the airport for those connecting flights around 10 AM.
Please note: This itinerary is a guide only; the exact route and program varies according to ice and weather conditions - and the wildlife we encounter. Flexibility is the key to the success of this expedition.
On board the vessels of 48 passengers the Professor Multanovskiy and Akademik Shokalskiy we offer adventure optional, such nas spending 1 night camping in Antarctica; group of 20 passengers, tents for 2 people. No extra cost, first to reserve.
Optional for Kayaking, group of 10 people, guide by 2 experienced staff, ask for extra cost per person.
Crossing the Antarctic Circle (15 days)
It is the same itinerary as the Antarctic Adventure Cruise, except more days in the Peninsula sailing further south. Only the most adventures travelers include this Circle on their life list of goals.
Explorers' cruise: Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula (20 days)
Explore some of the privately owned outer islands that are home to great concentrations of wildlife - Flightless Steamer Ducks, Magellanic penguins and Gentoo Penguins in Carcass Island. Rockhopper Penguin, Black-browed batrosses and Blue-eyed shags will be seen in New Island.
Explore Stanley, the charming capital of the archipelago.
South Georgia has an astonishing concentration of wildlife as well as awe-inspiring scenery ranging from 7,000-foot mountains and mighty glaciers. It is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and inspiring places on Earth.
Home of thousands of King Penguins, the magnificent sub Antarctic penguin. Wandering Albatrosses, huge southern elephant seals, Gentoo and Macaroni Penguins. At Grytviken, once an active whaling station, you visit the museum and the grave of the famous English explorer Ernest Scackleton.

What to see during the Shoulder Season.
Each month has its own special highlights, so choose your departure date with these possibilities in mind.
November (late spring š early summer)
Undoubtedly the most adventurous and, in some ways, the most awe-inspiring time to visit. Huge volumes of ice and pristine snow.
Incredible courtship displays in the penguin rookeries (including nest building and stone stealing)
February š March (late summer)
The weather is still good and the wildlife active but, most importantly; this is the best whale watching of the season.
Ice allows exploration further south along the Antarctic Peninsula.
Best whale watching of the season penguin rookeries at their busiest, with the adult birds fetching krill, and feeding their chicks.
Penguin chicks begin to fledge late February/early March.
