Then visit the Plaza de Armas and its adjacent historical buildings, including the City Hall, National Historical Museum, Central Post Ofccie, and the Cathedral. Continue to Cerro San Cristobal, where you can see panoramic views of the city. Then head to the nearby cities of Providencia and Vitacura, where there are handicraft shops that specialize in lapis lazuli jewelry. Return to the hotel in Santiago.

Day 2

Transfer to Punta Arenas & Torres del Paine National Park

Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the hotel, and then transfer to the Santiago airport for the flight to Punta Arenas. Once there, a guide will pick you up and take you to the Torres del Paine National Park. Check in to the 4* Hotel Lago Grey, located in the midst of the national park, with breathtaking views of the Torres del Paine massif, Glacier Gray, and Lake Gray.

Day 3

Tour of Torres del Paine National Park

After breakfast, head out on a tour to explore this beautiful national park, one of the most famous in Patagonia. The "Torres del Paine" refers to granite massifs, or peaks, that have been carved by glaciers over the millenia. These massifs are stunning icons of the Patagonia wilderness. In fact, this national park was relatively unknown and unexplored until recent decades, and has retained its pristine condition. You may spot wildlife such as guanacos, Andean grey foxes, and birds during your explorations. Visit the Laguna Amarga (Bitter Lagoon), and then going trekking or horseback riding from the Hosteria Las Torres. Pass through forests and enjoy stunning views of the Torres del Paine, lakes, and lagoons along the way. Return to Las Torres and then head back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 4

Transfer to El Calafate

After breakfast, hit the road on a bus journey through southern Patagonia, from Chile into Argentina. El Calafate is the starting point for trekkers and those who want to see the Perito Moreno Glacier, the world's largest advancing glacier. Check in to the 3* Hosteria Kau Yatun and relax for the night. Located on the outskirts of the city, this hotel overlooks Lago Argentino, and offers a tapas bar, games and reading room, and gym with views of the lake.

Day 5

Perito Moreno Glacier Tour

Start the day with breakfast in the hotel, and then join a group for a full day tour to the Perito Moreno Glaicer. The scenic drive through the Los Glaciares National Park passes through beautiful forests and lakes, and allows you to see the glacier from multiple angles. Then get up close and explore the glacier along the Rico branch of Lago Argentino. This glacier is famous for its chunks of ice breaking off and crashing into the lake. Once the ice makes contact with the lake, the warmer temperature of the water triggers a process called calving, which results in the dramatic breaking off of ice. You can also walk around the marked walkways to view the glacier. Return to El Calafate in the late afternoon.

Day 6

Transfer to Buenos Aires

Transfer to the airport and fly to Buenos Aires. A guide will greet you at the airport and take you to your selected hotel.

Day 7

Buenos Aires City Tour

Today you can enjoy a 4 hour city tour of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina and the so-called capital of Tango. In this city, porteños love to dance, eat dinner and drink wine late into the night. You'll fall in love with Buenos Aires as you visit it's distinctive neighborhoods, learn it's fascinating history, and see it's European-style architecture and culture. Visit the Obelisk, located on the 9 de Julio Ave (the widest street in the world), as well as the Colon Theater, the Embassy of France, the Plaza de Mayo, the Plaza San Martín, and the financial district. Also visit the neighborhoods of La Boca, San Telmo, Montserrat, Recoleta, Palermo, and Puerto Madero. In the evening, enjoy a tango show and dinner at the Tango Porteño House, located on 9 de Julio Ave. While professional musicians and dancers serenade you, enjoy a delicious Argentina meal and wine. The transfer back to your hotel is included.

Day 8

Buenos Aires

After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE) for your flight home or to your next destination in South America.
