The trip as a whole was wonderful. As you can appreciate we attempted to cover a large country in a short time. Our arrival was met by an excellent guide and driver, the hotel location was perfect walking distance to everything. The afternoon tour gave a good overview of the city. Our tours over the next two days were everything you could expect. Our guide in San Pedro was an engaging young man who was game to make the most of our time. The hotel was walking distance to town, had a great restaurant and a unique atmosphere. Our guide assured us we would see the mine on our flight out of Calama, he was right - great view! Of our three days in Puerto Varas all were excellent except for the weather, which no one controls. Hotel was perfect great views, we were able to walk to everything once again. Of the all the hotels, it had the best breakfast. The added tour to the penguins at Punta Arenas was appreciated. Our driver, who spoke no English, made us work on our Spanish, which made the drive very enjoyable.
Our accommodation in Puerto Natales was first rate, unfortunately our weather was cloudy on the tour to Torres Del Paine, however our guide and driver were great hosts making the day most enjoyable. Our lunch was on par with the one at the vineyard, however the view was spectacular!! Our trip back to the hotel Atton felt like going home, we had become very comfortable in our area of Santiago. Easter Island is well worth the trip. Helen was a wealth of knowledge. The Orca dive is recommended and once again the hotel was great, supper food and a marvelous view. Chile is a country full of diversity with many natural wonders, superb wines and people proud of themselves and their country. Thank you for your help in organizing a very memorable trip!
