Quebrada de Humahuaca
Quebrada de Humahuaca is known for the astonishing assortment of colors in its rock formations and archeological findings dating back to pre-Inca times. Located in the northern Argentine province of Jujuy, it is part of the Camino Inca and boasts spectacular views of the surrounding multicolored (literally dozens of colors) mountains with a backdrop of piercing blue skies. The Rio Grande flows through the valley and past the town of Humahuaca, making it a fertile area in an otherwise dry desert. This valley has been deemed a key archeological site due to the numerous artifacts that have been discovered here dating back 10,000 years.
Lose yourself in the majestic valley of Quebrada de Humahuaca as you traverse one of the most critical trade routes used over millennia.
