I recently went to Peru on a 2-week guided tour organized by Izabela from SouthAmerica.travel tours. It included Nazca, Paracas, Arequipa, Colca Valley (not the canyon!), Puno, Lake Titicaca, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Lima. The organization was exceptional. All transfers were on time, all hotels (I picked a mix of 3* and 4*) were good, all guides were friendly, knowledgeable and spoke good English. Peru itself is amazing and absolutely worth visiting! The only negatives, associated with traveling such a vast country, were lengthy transfers (like a nearly 10-hour bus ride from Nazca to Arequipa), and no free time to relax. So my advice is if you can afford it, include a full day at your leisure in the middle of the holiday in a nice hotel. One needs some rest sometimes.
