Before you travel to South America, consider taking out South America travel insurance. Travel safe and worry-free with trip insurance, which can vary from basic trip cancellation or trip delay insurance, to comprehensive coverage. There are several great companies that offer travel insurance, but we recommend TravelSafe to our US and Canadian travelers. You can request a quote for free directly from TravelSafe, or you can just ask your Travel Consultant to add a travel insurance quote.
We highly recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance - at least trip cancellation and/or trip delay insurance.

For UK travelers from the UK, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office recommends that you take out comprehensive travel insurance and medical insurance before travelling to South America.
This advice rings true for anyone traveling to South America - we highly recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance - at least trip cancellation and/or trip delay insurance.

Overseas Medical Insurance:
Before you travel, make sure that your primary health insurance plan covers international travel. Check with your primary insurance plan to see if they will cover trips to a foreign hospital, medical evacuation, etc.
If your primary medical insurance doesn't include traveling abroad or is very limited, you may want to consider purchasing overseas medical insurance.
