Brazil Amazon River Cruises
There are different ways to visit the Amazon and one of them is to take a cruise on the Amazon River. They depart regularly and will lead you to discover amazing wildlife and flora. During the day you can go on various excursions to explore the jungle and go hiking through the unspoiled rainforest, go canoeing down small tributaries and visit indigenous villages. On this 8 days/ 7 night Brazil Amazon River Cruise, you will cruise on the Rio Negro, the Anavilhanas Archipelago, and the Rio Jauaperi. You will also navigate the “Meeting of the Waters” where the Amazon and the Rio Negro flow side by side without mixing for many miles. Daily land excursions are included to explore the jungle or swim in some of the cleanest water in the world. You will visit beautiful places such as the Lago Janauari Ecological Park or the village of Novo Airao. And you will have the opportunity to observe amazing wildlife such as pink river dolphins, monkeys, a large collection of exotic birds and other extraordinary creatures found only in this unique environment.

This tour presents 3 options: 3, 4, or 6 days. You can choose between an Amazon River Cruise, a Negro River Cruise, or do both.
Amazon River Cruise (3 days / 2 nights):
On this cruise, you will navigate to Janauaca Lake where you can see birds and Pink River Dolphins. You can also take a walk in the forest and visit the residents of the lake who live from manioc plantations, fishing, diverse fruit trees, wood, and other extractive products. At night, you also may be able to spot night-hawks, snakes, sloths, and frogs. You’ll then head to the Janauari Ecological Park where you will be able to see the Victoria Regia – the largest water lilies on Earth. You’ll end this cruise by crossing the “Meeting of the Waters” towards Manaus.
Negro River Cruise (4 days / 3 nights):
This Brazil Amazon River Cruise includes many excursions to explore the jungle and spot birds like parrots and toucans. You will also visit a Natives Community where you’ll find many of the typical Amazonian fruits and palm trees. You will also have the opportunity to visit Lago Janauari Ecological Park. This area is usually a very good place to observe wildlife and to see the Victoria Regia. The boat will also land on one of the white sandy beaches to allow you to swim in the dark water with the Pink River Dolphins. You will also have the possibility to fish for piranhas. You’ll end this cruise passing the “Meeting of the Waters” to Manaus.
On this 4 day/3 night Negro River cruise, you will navigate towards the “Meeting of the Waters” and then to Janauari Lake where you will see the huge Victoria Amazonica water plant – also known as Victoria Regia. You will also cruise through the Anavilhanas Archipelago. From the boat, you will be able to spot wonderful wildlife such as alligators, exotic birds, and other amazing creatures. There are various excursions available such as the visit of an indigenous house to see their way of living, a trekking tour to observe the local flora – one of the richest worldwide – and the visit of a Caboclo Village. There are also various activities available such as piranha fishing, swimming, and birdwatching.
This tour includes 3 options: 4 days, 5 days or 8 days. You can choose between 2 itineraries or do both.
Itinerary Solimões River (4 days / 3 nights):
With this itinerary, you’ll start with a trek and a photo safari in the Manacapuru region. Then you’ll head to Lago do Jacaré, where you can do piranha fishing, as well as birdwatching, and alligator spotting. The cruise will then lead you to Lago Janauaca where you will be able to watch birds and take photos. You’ll then head to Manaus through the “Meeting of the Waters”.
Itinerary Negro River (5 days / 4 nights):
On this Brazil Amazon River Cruise, you’ll first cruise to Novo Airao where you will trek, see the pink dolphins and spot alligator. You will also be able to fish Piranhas. You’ll then go to the Rio Puduari where you can observe beautiful birds. Later you will arrive at Ilha de Jacare, where you’ll do a photo safari. Next is Rio Cuieiras where you will trek and visit the Cambebas Community. Later, arrival at Praia Grande, free time, and a goodbye dinner including a folklore show. The cruise ends passing through the “Meeting of the Waters” to go back to Manaus.
