    Chilean Fjords and Cape Horn

    Day 1 - Day 5 /

    Arrive in Santiago and catch a flight to Punta Arenas where you will board the MS Midnatsol. Enjoy a welcome dinner on the ship and get to know some of your fellow cruisers. Visit the small island, Isla Tucker, and walk past its colony of Magellanic penguins along with sea lions, dolphins and birds. Sail through the narrow Gabriel Canal and snap some photos of incredible Chilean fjords where you can admire the contrasts of the mountains and deep fjords. Disembark from the MS Midnatsol and enjoy a shore excursion at Garibaldi Fjord where you can get up close and personal with the wildlife and glacier. Cruise past Cape Horn and if the weather permits enjoy another shore excursion. Celebrate Christmas Eve on the ship and celebrate how they do in Norway with a Christmas tree, carols and traditional dinner.

    During your day at sea, the Expedition Team will host fun and exciting lectures where you can further your knowledge on Antarctica.

    Day 7 - Day 13 /

    You have crossed the Antarctic Convergence and will not begin entering Antarctica. Walk around the deck and spend some time in the observation lounge to look for the Antarctic penguins, whales, and other signs that you have made it to Antarctica. As you cruise past icebergs and massive ice fields, capture some spectacular landscape photos. Choose from a variety of excursions including kayaking, hiking or visit some penguin and seal colonies.

    Day 14 - Day 16 /

    After exploring Antarctica, venture to the Falkland Islands, a small town looks very similar to a smaller picturesque England. Visit Stanley, the capital, and walk around the city or venture towards the wilderness to see more wildlife. Pass by New Island, a beautiful island with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. If it weren't for the colder weather, you could think you were in the Caribbean. Go ashore and spot more penguins and elephant seals. Pass by Carcass Island, a birders paradise where you can see ducks, penguins, albatross, wrens and geese. Take a small boat ashore and continue exploring the island for a closer look at the birds.

    As you venture through the Magellan Strait, you can recap your experience with you friends and enjoy your last evening at sea. Celebrate with a farewell dinner and say your goodbyes.

    Patagonia, Chilean Fjords, and Cape Horn

    Day 1 - Day 5 /

    Start your adventure in Chile's Patagonia region. Fly into Santiago and take a flight the next day to Punta Arenas where you will board the MS Midnatsol. Enjoy a welcome dinner on the ship where you will meet your guides and fellow passengers. The first few days of this journey will take you past Isla Tucker, which is a small island most famous for its Magellanic penguin colony, sea lions, dolphins, and birds. Cruise through the narrow Gabriel Canal with opposing mountains on each side. Explore Chilean fjords, including Garibaldi Fjord as a highlight and Garibaldi Glaciers. Disembark from the ship in search of sea lions, Andean condors and other birds. Also enjoy an Argentine wine tasting in the evening. If weather permits you will have the opportunity to disembark on Cape Horn.

    Day 6 /

    Today you cross the infamous Drake Passage towards Antarctica. Enjoy lectures throughout the day and relax as you prepare for the incredible White Continent. Other activities on the ship include a tango course.

    During your time in Antarctica, you will enjoy plenty of shore excursions to see the incredible landscapes and spot cute penguins and fur seals. Also, spot wildlife from the deck - be sure to look for whales, ice bergs and glaciers.

    Recap your time in Antarctica with your travel mates and recall the incredible exploration opportunities you had in Antarctica. Continue back towards Cape Horn.

    Day 1 - Day 4 /

    Start in Punta Arenas where you will board the MS Midnatsol. Meet your fellow travel mates and get to know the expert guides that will take you on this journey. Cruise past the small island, Isla Tucker, and look for Magellanic penguins, dolphins, birds and sea lions. Continue through the Gabriel Canal, a narrow canal surrounded by fjords and mountains. As you approach Garibaldi Fjord, you will see two massive glaciers. Bring your camera and disembark from the ship to see the front side of the fjord. Continue to Cape Horn and if weather permits disembark to visit this maritime legend.

    Today you are at sea passing from Cape Horn to Antarctica. Enjoy on ship activities and lectures as you cross the Drake Passage.

    Welcome to Antarctica! Disembark and explore the White Wilderness and search for wildlife like penguins and fur seals. Enjoy a kayaking excursion, take a hike with the Expedition Team or take in the sights from the decks of the ship. There are several landing places you will be able to explore, so be sure to keep your camera handy.

    Today is another day at sea where you can relax and reflect on your incredible experience in Antarctica. Share photos and stories with the travelers you met and attend lectures to learn more about Antarctica.
