We recently booked a 12-day tour of Peru, Iguazu Falls and Rio de Janeiro with South America Travel and had a fantastic time.

In Peru, we did a 1-day city tour of Lima, followed by 3 days in Cusco and Sacred Valley that included a once-in-a-lifetime tour of Machu Picchu which was breathtaking. Following that, we did a one day excursion in Iguazu Falls, Argentina, followed by a half-day tour of the Falls from the Brazil side, where we were treated to truly stunning views of the Argentina Falls. Our tour ended with a 3-day stop in Rio de Janeiro, a truly amazing city.

Clara, the lady who arranged our tour and itinerary was fantastic. She was a great communicator and listened to what we wanted and added some customization to the pre-made tour. She was also very responsive to our questions and e-mails. The local tour guides in Peru and Iguazu Falls were fantastic and the hotels were good. The only hotel we didn't like was Hotel San Blas in Lima, but we were only there for two nights, so it was not a big deal. The hotel in Rio de Janeiro right by Copacabana Beach was fantastic.

Our only complaint on this tour was the local tour operators in Rio de Janeiro. For our full-day city tour, the company picked us up 45 minutes late. We're pretty easy going and understanding people and usually think a 15-minute grace period is understandable, but 45 minutes is really unreasonable. 

But alas, our complaints are very minor compared to the fantastic and memorable experience we had. We would absolutely want to go back to South America one day and would not hesitate to arrange with South America Travel again.
