Get acquainted with Salta on a tour this morning. Climb the Cerro San Bernardo on the outskirts and be rewarded with a sweeping view of the city below. Then visit the towering Cathedral, the Church of San Francisco, the stately Town Hall and the Historic Museum of the North. Wander down to the crafts market and shop for silver trinkets and handicrafts. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time at the hotel or explore the city more on your own.

Depart from Salta this morning and travel through the villages of Quijano Field and White River. Continue to the Gorge of El Toro near San Antonio de los Cobres, pass the vast white salt flats and the Cuesta de Lipán and reach the village of Purmamarca which lies peacefully on the rainbow-tiered Hill of Seven Colors.
