Travel from Bariloche to the Huenuleo Prairie and take in the sweeping views of Argentina’s Lake District. Cross Manso River and enter the Nahuel Huapi National Park, a natural reserve of vast, clear lakes teeming with exotic plant and animal life. Visit the awe-inspiring Mount Tronador on a guided tour, famous for the thunderous sound of massive columns of glaciers that occasionally calve off and crash to the surface. Stop at the curiously colored Black Glacier and head to the base of the mount, now an extinct volcano.
