One of our travelers, Annika Leichtweiss, send us her South America Travel Review, more specifically about Brazil (The Amazon Rainforest, Iguassu Falls, and Rio de Janeiro) earlier this year. Here you can see her hanging out with a monkey at the Juma Amazon Jungle Lodge! Read on to find out why she loved Brazil:
Her South America Travel Review here for you:
Hi Christina, Everything worked out perfectly, the transfers to and from the hotels were smooth and problem-free, and the guides were absolutely amazing (I have to mention Renato in Rio, and Renato at the Iguacu falls)! Great guides!!!
Especially, I would like to mention the Juma Lodge! Wonderful people there, amazing location, and our guide there, Rildo, spoke great English, and was a local who grew up in the area! He was extremely knowledgeable about the Amazon river, and the rainforest! We are actually planning to go back soon!
The Iguassu Falls were as amazing as the Amazon, and we are glad that we could switch hotels there. The Hotel Das Cataratas is incredible! We were so lucky to get a room to the front, with a view right toward the falls! Also, we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel belongs to the Orient-Express chain and all meals and drinks are included. We were not aware of that before which made the price seem quite high! (We did stay before at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge and loved it!)
Rio, my personal favorite city in the world, was, of course, another highlight. Our guide Renato was fantastic. Our hotel there (Rio International) was nice, especially the rooftop bar and pool, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly!
Thank you so much again for assisting us with this trip! One of the best ones I have ever taken! My Best, Annika Leichtweiss
