Passport Requirements
Citizens of ALL countries: To enter Argentina, your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your travel dates. For example, if you are traveling to Argentina in March, your passport must be valid through September of that year. Upon entry into Ecuador, you will be asked to complete an international embarkation/disembarkation form which will be stamped along with your passport and must be kept together with it. Keep these documents in a safe, secure place as you will have to present it when leaving the country. Legally, you are required to carry your passport with you at all times in case of a spot check by local authorities. Unfortunately, a photocopy of your passport will not be accepted as a substitute. Consider purchasing a passport protector to keep your original passport safe and in good condition.
Visa Requirements

Visas are NOT REQUIRED for US nationals, Canadian nationals, Australia nationals, UK nationals or most European Union nationals, for stays of up to 90 days in a 12-month period.

For nationals that are not listed in the chart above, there is a short-term visa visit cost of US $60.

Please note, it is now MANDATORY for all people entering Ecuador to purchase international travel insurance.

To receive information on the most up-to-date visa requirements for Ecuador, contact the nearest embassy.
