Originally from Fairfield, Connecticut, Jason Mayo holds a degree in Philosophy from Colgate University. Following his academic studies, Jason pivoted to pursue a long-held dream of deep-immersion travel throughout South America—a journey that eventually spanned seven countries and led to a four-year residency in the vibrant capital of Buenos Aires.

Since 2014, Jason has been a cornerstone of the SouthAmerica.travel consulting team. His years spent living abroad allowed him to master the local nuances of Argentine culture, transit, and hidden gems, which he now translates into seamless travel experiences for his clients. While he is now based in Seattle, Washington, his heart remains in the cafes of San Telmo and Palermo.
