Santiago Wine Tour - Tour Extension

Go on a 4-day Santiago tour where you can enjoy the cultural aspects of the city and delight in delicious Chilean wine! Start your tour in Santiago and visit all the main attractions. Enjoy the beautiful city near the Andes and drink the finest Chilean wines at the Concha y Toro Winery and the Undurraga Vineyard, founded in 1885.

All excursions to the wineries are subject to confirmation. This tour is a hosted extension based on a group size of about 14 people, but if can be run on any day. All activities included are pre-set, aside for hotel accommodations. If you would like to customize a tour like this, please speak with a Travel Consultant and they can customize a private tour.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Meet your friendly guide at the Santiago airport and transfer to your hotel. Settle into your new home for the following four days. Get ready to explore the vibrant capital of Chile and to experience this famous wine-producing region.

Day 2

Located in the Maipo Canyon with a superb view of the mountain range, Concha y Toro winery produces excellent wines from the noblest French vines. During this visit, you will be able to taste and buy wines, including the best-known brands 'Casillero del Diablo' and 'Don Melchor.'

In the afternoon, discover Santiago on a half-day city tour. Visit the majestic La Moneda government palace, the Plaza de Armas, Santa Lucía Hill, the Metropolitan Park and the exclusive residential areas of Vitacura and Las Condes. During the afternoon, take a transfer to Concha y Toro, a vineyard founded in 1883. Listen to your guide explain how grapes are grown and processed during a visit to the fermentation room. Sample the best of the vintage crops with a wine tasting and return to your hotel to rest and recover.

Day 3

Visit the traditional Undurraga Vineyard just 6kms from Santiago. Try some of the many varieties offered here during a wine tasting session. Learn as much as possible about the cultivation and harvesting of wine grapes in the region before returning to Santiago in the afternoon.

Day 4

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to continue your journey through South America.
