Day 1

This tour starts in the Marvelous City of Rio de Janeiro. Meet the local guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Settle in and get ready for a tour of the Tijuca Forest and the Corcovado Mountain, from where the famous Christ the Redeemer Statue overlooks the city and the bay. This imposing statue, built in 1922, has been declared one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you on a Rio de Janeiro city tour, including a trip to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain. Visit historical landmarks and golden beaches, and then take the cable car gondola ride to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, a granite peak overlooking Guanabara Bay. Enjoy panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro's curvy coastline and forests.

In the afternoon, relax at your hotel or on the beaches of Copacabana & Ipanema. Finish off your day with a delicious barbecue at Churrascaría Palace, which offers an all-you-can-eat service.

Day 3

Arrive at the Cuiabá/Várzea Grande airport and transfer to Chapada dos Guimarães. Check into the charming Park Eco Lodge in the evening and relax. Take in the first sights of the park.

Day 4

Rise early and depart for a full day of hiking in Chapada dos Guimarães to a beautiful waterfall. The park is known for its intriguing sandstone cliffs formed by the wind and rain. Admire the rich vegetation, listen to the singing birds and the splash of the crystal clear waterfalls. After the hike enjoy a traditional pantaneira lunch at a beautiful restaurants sitting in the canyon with the perfect view of the waterfalls. Watch the sunset over the São Geronimo peak in front of the lodge, relax and take in natures beauty.

Day 5

Bid farewell to Chapada dos Guimarães and depart to Bom Jardim, drive past impressive rock formations along the way. Arrive at Recanto Ecológico Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon) before coming to the trailhead to Aquário Encantado/Enchanted Aquarium and Salobra River (1-km trail). Swim in the deep water pool Aquarium with colorful fish and snorkel in the Salobra River.  Return to Recanto Ecológico Lagoa Azul for lunch and depart to Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge.

Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon and go on a short hike to the sunset from the top of the 12 meters high Mirante da Garça observation tower. After dinner enjoy a nature walk, admire the Southern Hemisphere sky and listen to the nocturnal animals awake from their slumber.

Day 6

Enjoy a full day dedicated to observing the flora and fauna in the Pantanal Wetlands. Go on a 2-3 hour horseback ride through the grazing fields, woods and floodplains. Enjoy lunch at the lodge before going on an afternoon hike to spot more wildlife. Return to the Araras Eco Lodge in the evening and reflect on your day in the Pantanal.

Day 7

Today you venture to Sentinela Camp, sitting on the edge of the Rio Clarinho (river). Go on a short canoe ride to spot aquatic life, search for birds and other flora. If you are lucky you might have the option to go piranha fishing. After working up an appetite, enjoy an authentic Brazilian churrasco (BBQ) along the river bank. In the evening, return to the lodge and relax while taking in the sights and sounds of the Pantanal.

Day 8

Enjoy a beautiful sunrise in the Pantanal before venturing for your final photo safari transfer to Cuiabá and fly to São Paulo. Upon arrival in São Paulo, settle into your hotel and spend the rest of the night at your leisure. Reflect on your experience in the Pantanal and Chapada dos Guimarães
