Day 1

Arrive in Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital city on the banks of the Rio de la Plata. Buenos Aires is known as the Tango Capital of the World, and also as the Paris of South America. During your stay, you'll soon learn why this bustling metropolis has earned such nicknames. At the Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE), your guide and driver will greet you and take you to the 5* Hotel Abasto Plaza Buenos Aires, located in the Abasto neighborhood in downtown. The hotel was the first to have a tango theme, and has retained the elegant, old world charm of the city. Spend the evening at your leisure.

A grand historic building with a green dome stands behind ornate statues and fountains, water spraying into the air, surrounded by a landscaped park in bright daylight—a striking scene in the land of contrast: Argentina.
Day 2

After breakfast in the hotel, enjoy a 3 hour Buenos Aires city tour, hitting many of the highlights. Your guide will take you to the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest street in the world, and visit the Obelisk, which stands in the center. Also visit the Colon Theater, the Embassy of France, the financial district, the Plaza de Mayo, the Plaza San Martín, and the colorful neighborhoods of La Boca, San Telmo and Montserrat, Recoleta, and Palermo. Finally, visit Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires' port and waterfront, which is now graces with luxurious skyscrapers, a yacht club, a variety of first-class restaurants, and the cantilever Woman`s Bridge. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

A wooden riverboat with windows and a blue-and-white flag glides through brown water near Buenos Aires, surrounded by lush green trees on a sunny day.
Day 3

After a day of sightseeing, escape from the city today and head for the Tigre Delta, north of the city on the Parana River. El Tigre is the town where the elite porteños (the residents of Buenos Aires) built their summer residences. Enjoy the cool breezes and natural scenery on a boat ride along the Parana River. Next visit the elegant residences in the northern suburbs, including San Isidro, and the Presidential Residence, the Quinta de Olivos.

A person dressed in traditional gaucho attire sits atop a brown horse outdoors near El Calafate, holding the reins. Several other horses stand nearby, with trees visible in the background on this Patagonia Eco Tour.
Day 4

Today's excursion also gets you outside of the city, this time to an estancia, or ranch, where you can see how the gauchos of Argentina live and work. This estancia in the countryside will host a traditional asado barbecue for you, as well as plenty of yerba mate tea. Also enjoy watching folk dances and activities, such as horseback riding, carriage rides, and sheepshearing demonstrations. Then taste some pastelitos, traditional Argentine sweet pies. Transfer back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

A man and a woman in formal attire dance a passionate tango, holding hands and gazing into each other's eyes, in front of a building with wooden doors—a classic Buenos Aires scene perfect for any tour.
Day 5

Spend the day at your leisure, and then head to the La Ventana Tango Club for a fabulous tango show and dinner. Listen to the Gran Orquesta de Juan D' Arienzo perform songs as professional tango couples dance the night away. Enjoy a 3 course meal with Argentine wine on your final night in Buenos Aires. Transfer back to the hotel at night.

Colorful lanterns hang from a building painted in vivid blue, yellow, and red tones, with metal mesh over the windows—a bright, lively scene that captures the artistic urban vibe of a Buenos Aires tango tour.
Day 6

After breakfast, transfer from downtown Buenos Aires to the Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE) for your flight home or to your next destination in South America.
