Example Itinerary – Fully Customizable

Day 1

Upon arrival at Calama airport, meet a representative who will take you to Noi Casa Atacama in San Pedro.

Check-in and explore the lodge and the facilities it offers, such as the pool, the jacuzzi, and the spa. Afterward, meet a guide who will show you the list of activities available during your stay. You’ll be able to choose the excursions you prefer from that list, depending on your physical conditions and your acclimatization.

Note: From now on, the excursions listed work as an example for you to know the type of activities offered by the lodge. They are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

Pukara de Quitor:
The word Pukara is used to name those ancient fortifications of the pre-Columbian culture, built in the 11th century. This is a classic tour everybody can take to visit one of Atacama’s fascinating oasis: Ayllu de Quitor, and learn about the ancient civilization that once lived here by contemplating its famous archaeological monument: the Pukara.

Day 2

Have breakfast at Casa Atacama and get ready for your hike! Start at a short dune and head to a cornice from where the Death Valley and the Salt Mountain Chain can be seen. Contemplate these intriguing geological formations, with different shapes and colors, a consequence of the erosion of time.

Descend the dune to return to the van, admiring the valley from another perspective.

Transfer to Calama airport and take a flight to continue your trip through South America or flight back home.

It is also possible to stay at Casa Atacama for up to 6 days and to take some more tours, such as Tatio Geysers, Tara Salt Flat and Toconao Lagoon.
