The excursions enable you to tour Queulat National Park, contemplating its green rainforest, light-blue lagoons, and snow-capped mountains.
Upon arrival at Balmaceda Airport, meet a Puyuhuapi Lodge representative who will join you during your trip. Drive for 45 minutes through the Aysen Region until arriving at Coyahaique in time for lunch. Afterward, go on a 3.15-hour drive through the emblematic Austral Road and reach the Puyuhuapi Channel. Here, take a 10-minute boat ride and arrive at Puyuhuapi Lodge & Spa in the afternoon.

At 8.30 pm, head to the restaurant to enjoy dinner. The restaurant combines Chilean and Patagonian flavors with Mediterranean cuisine and serves the world-famous Chilean wine.

After breakfast, take a boat to cross the Puyuhuapi Channel followed by a vehicle to drive the Carretera Austral until arriving at the Queulat National Park. You will take a path towards a viewpoint featuring panoramic views of one of the highlights of the park: Ventisquero Colgante (Hanging Glacier).
Pass a hanging bridge over one of the rivers and enter the forest. Continue through a moraine valley from where breath-taking views of the lake and the lush evergreen woods can be appreciated on the northeast.
Finally, go to an ascending path to get to the viewpoint, where you will be rewarded with impressive images of the Hanging Glacier, the waterfalls, and the lake. There are chances of contemplating one of the blocks of ice as it breaks off and follows into the Tempanos Lagoon. Not only is its a visual show, but also an auditive one, since the sound it produces is similar to a thunderous roar, making the whole scenery an amazing demonstration of the power of nature.

Leave Puyuhuapi Lodge and start hiking through the Canelo Woods. The landscape features the deep-blue waters of the Dorita Bay and the Puyuhuapi Channel and the verdant leaves of the local trees.
Patagonia’s fairytale-like landscape has inspired many legends and myths, including Canelo Wood. One of the stories states that there are ancient spirits that inhabit the silver-colored leaves surrounding one of the shelters you will pass by in the forest.
Afterward, board a kayak and sail through the peaceful Dorita Bay until returning to the lodge.

Later, head to the Hanging Glacier area, after traveling by boat and by van, where the walk starts. This tour is an easy walk that features different views of the valley and the beautiful Queulat National Park.

After breakfast, check-out and contemplate the alluring Aysen Lake for one last time. Take a boat ride to cross Puyuhuapi Channel and board a vehicle to drive along the Austral Road. Lunch is included and will be served en route.
Arrive at Balmaceda Airport, where you can take a flight back home or continue your South America journey.
