Day 1

Buenos Aires

Transfer from Ezeiza airport to hotel, private service with English-speaking guide

Welcome to Argentina!

Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day to enjoy at your own pace.

Buenos Aires is a marvelous and furious cosmopolitan city, full of colors and different kinds of architecture. Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as showing off plenty of its own culture!

Argentines are usually eager to host visitors: if you walk the streets with a map, someone will surely stop and ask if you need directions. That’s our spirit! So, for this first day, feel free to wander the cobblestone streets lined with outdoor cafes, enjoy the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrilla” (barbecue) and browse the local antique and artisan markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping. And to travel deeper and have a firm grip of the Argentine spirit, find the perfect leather jacket or handbag (Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers) and explore the colorful Palermo Soho neighborhoods.

Type of service: Private
Included: Transportation mentioned above, English-speaking guide
Guide assistance during transfer.

You will be swept away by the highlights of our beloved Buenos Aires. Over the course of a half-day, you will have the chance to visit the historical and political center of the city around May Square (Plaza de Mayo) and the Pink House (the presidential house).
Later, visit San Telmo with its cobblestone streets and the oldest residential neighborhood and La Boca where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever-present: come to walk Caminito street and dance with the locals. The next stop the chic and aristocratic Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the “Paris of the South”.
At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel (private service).

Duration: 5 hours
Included: transportation mentioned above
Dinner & Tango Show
In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel to be driven to a mythical place where you will discover one of our most ancient traditions.

You will have a memorable night out in Buenos Aires and will experience the passion of the Argentine tango. Tango is: our immigrant origins, the talent of our local artists, the sensuality of the Argentine woman and our way to deal with a broken heart, dancing our way through tragic and yet eternal love stories.

While having dinner, you will enjoy a professional display of tango and music with a group of local artists on stage immersed in an elegant and alluring place. The manners, ambience, clothes and dance steps which tango lovers used to practice 100 years ago will come to life again and you will travel in time for a night.

At the end of the evening, around midnight, you will be driven back to your hotel, fully in love with the bohemian spirit of our beloved Buenos Aires.

Day 4

El Calafate

Full-Day Mayo Spirit Trek
We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning to take you to Los Glaciares National Park located 50 miles from El Calafate, home of the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier.

The itinerary begins inside the National Park, departing from the pier of Bahía Tranquila in Punta Bandera port. The glaciers of Mayo Mount and Negro Mount are located in Mayo Canal in Argentino Lake and Los Glaciares National Park. The only way to reach them is by sailing along the lake. So we will navigate De Los Témpanos Canal to enter Seno Mayo of Argentino Lake, the biggest and most austral lake in the country.

When arriving at Toro Bay we will disembark, and accompanied by a guide, we start a walk through the Andean-Patagonian forest, where we will see cherry and cinnamon trees, lengas, and ñires until reaching a 100-year-old cherry tree which has a trunk of more than three meters in diameter.

Then, we will walk across the forest until reaching a stream fed by a waterfall, which was originated due to landslides, and where we will be able to observe a lime rock formation of approximately 180 meters high
and 100 meters wide. We stay here until we return to the sailing boat that will take us to our next stop or destination.

Navigating the lake's Seno Mayo, Mayo Hill’s glacier and Negro Hill’s hanging glacier can be appreciated: a wonderful show. When disembarking at Negro Hill, the guide will start another walk, covering one kilometer, that will provide more details of the Andean Patagonian forest and its vegetation, typical of mountain regions of the South of Chile and the South West of Argentina where mountain forests are abundant.

Starting at Toro Bay, we sail along Mayo Canal in Argentino Lake and observe the glaciers of Mayo Mount and the hanging glacier of Negro Mount.

After disembarking, and being accompanied by a guide, we start a 1.000-meter walk towards the Andean-Patagonian forest. We will follow a stream that will lead us to the stone wall from where we can observe the Hanging Glacier and where we will be amazed by the 360° views of the landscape, including Mayo Mount and Blanco Mount.

We stay for some time in this place before going back to the sailing boat which will take us to the north face of Perito Moreno Glacier. We will disembark at Moreno floating dock, situated at the foot of the
walkway, to enjoy the view from the different walkways, and finally, we will return to El Calafate.
