Vila Gale Angra | The resort is located in Angra dos Reis, approximately 151 km from Rio de Janeiro. Nested within the exuberant Mata Atlântica (a vast region of a lush forest), the resort enjoys calm shores shaded by leafy palms. Seventy-seven royal palm trees that date back to the ’40s are spread throughout the area, adding a touch of majesty to the already beautifully landscaped site.

Angra dos Reis is considered a veritable ecological and cultural paradise as it is a part of the Bay of Ilha Grande, with a shoreline outlined by bays and dotted by 365 islands. Nearby islands offer typical restaurants with local and international cuisine on extended weekends, and there are also floating restaurants that drift in the bay.

We recommend a stay here as well as on the island of Ilha Grande.

Arrive into Angra dos Reis on Brazil's lush Costa Verde, a drive of a few hours from Rio de Janeiro, or about an hour from colonial Paraty, or a ferry ride from the tropical Ilha Grande. Stay three nights at Vila Gale Angra dos Reis Brazil Beach Resort.

Enjoy two full days of beach and coastal relaxation.

Return home via Rio de Janeiro, or continue to Paraty or elsewhere in Brazil. This is an ideal end to a longer tour of Brazil.
