Pukara de Quitor:
The word Pukara is used to name those ancient fortifications of the pre-Columbian culture, built in the 11th century. This is a classic tour everybody can take to visit one of Atacama’s fascinating oasis: Ayllu de Quitor, and learn about the ancient civilization that once lived here by contemplating its famous archaeological monument: the Pukara.

Three people walk through a rocky, arid landscape with scattered dry bushes under a clear blue sky, evoking the rugged beauty near Casa Atacama in a striking desert or semi-desert environment.
