Example Itinerary – Fully Customizable

A wooden walkway winds through a dense, misty forest in the Huilo-Huilo Reserve, leading to a large, multi-story, circular building partially hidden among tall trees under warm, soft sunlight.
Day 1

Upon arrival at Puerto Montt airport (or other of the destinations informed during the reservation), transfer to Huilo Huilo Reserve, making a stop at Neltume town, 3 km from there.

Arrive at the reserve, located in a forest of ancient trees beneath the Andes. Have dinner and transfer to your room, to enjoy your first night surrounding by the soothing sounds of the wild outdoor.

Day 2

Your voyage begins after breakfast, as you board a 4×4 vehicle towards Los Patos Lagoon, at the Pilmaiquen Grassland. Head to a fauna-sighiting tower from where you can contemplate all the creatures that make up the local fauna. Your guide will tell you all the characteristics of this area, its climate variations and how it affects wildlife.

Head to another tower, located in the Guanacos Sector, to take in views of this natural place. Lunch will be served at Guanacos base, where you will feast on a delicious Chilean dish accompanied by a selection of Chilean red wines.

After lunch, walk through the Fungi Route joined by your guide and your group, where you will admire different species of fungi that make up the fauna of the Patagonian Temperate Rainforest. Spyglasses and manuals will be provided.

Once the tour is over, return to your lodge to have dinner or go to the spa to unwind and rest for a while.

Day 3

Today, take an easy yet varied 3-hour trek, where your guide will answer any of your questions about the reserve and its landscapes. Arrive in the riverbanks south of River Fuy and see the animals that make it their home. Later, get to a small lagoon and return through a grassland, offering breath-taking views of Mocho-Choshuenco Volcano.

Return to the lodge for lunch. Once you have eaten, get ready for your last tour, which will take you to the the wetlands of Cua Cua River. Transfer by van until arriving in this area of ducks, swans, and other exotic bird species. Take some short treks that lead to hidden places within the reserve, and then go to Quilmio Bridge to relax over a cup of coffee, tea, herbal matte, or hot chocolate.

Back at the hotel, you can enjoy your last night at the reserve by getting together with your group for dinner and share photos and memories of the trip

Day 4

Have breakfast and contemplate the vast verdant nature of the Reserve before getting ready for your departure. Regular transfers are offered to Temuco (ZCO) and Puerto Montt (PMC).
