Day 1

Upon arrival in Bogotá, your English-speaking guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in and resting at the hotel, head out on the town for a typical Colombian-style dinner at the popular Andre Carne de Res. The meal and transfers to and from the restaurant are included.

A highlight of the Colombia Gourmet Tour, this platter features assorted grilled meats, corn on the cob, small potatoes, pork cracklings, and two bowls of green sauce, all beautifully arranged on branded parchment paper.
Day 2

Today is dedicated to a city tour of Bogotá, the bustling capital of Colombia. Visit the Plaza de Bolivar, the historic colonial center, and the La Candelaria district, a colorful old neighborhood. Also spend some time admiring the dazzling artifacts in the Museum of Gold, Colombia's most famous museum that holds over 30000 golden items. Also enjoy views of Bogotá from the "Nuestro Señor Caído" sanctuary in Monserrate.

In the evening, head to an excellent typical restaurant called El Tambor, located in La Calera, a small town overlooking Bogotá. Enjoy a picada dish of arepa, corn, and chorizo with guacamole while enjoying views of the city sparkling at night.

A tall palm tree stands by the water with modern high-rise buildings in the background under a clear blue sky, inviting you to experience a Colombia Gourmet Tour amidst stunning scenery.
Day 3

After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cartagena, Colombia's gem of a city on the Caribbean sea. At the airport, your guide will greet you and take you to your hotel that overlooks the Caribbean. Enjoy the afternoon walking along the beach or relaxing at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a seafood dinner at La Vitrola, Club the Pesca, or the El Santisimo restaurants.

A colorful street in Colombia lined with flowers and colonial buildings leads to a large, ornate dome with a spire under a clear blue sky—the perfect start to a gourmet tour of local flavors and sights.
Day 4

After breakfast, go on a guided city tour of Cartagena de las Indias, once a stronghold against pirates during the colonial era. The seaside city is still protected with high stone walls, forts, and cannons that tell of the city's colonial past. Visit the fortress, the historic part of the city, the La Pop convent, and the castle of San Felipe. In the afternoon, enjoy free time for swimming or relaxing on the beach. For dinner tonight, we recommend La Vitrola, Club the Pesca, or El Santisimo.

Two small boats float on clear turquoise water near a lush, green Colombian shoreline under a bright blue sky. The vibrant scene suggests a tropical, serene, and inviting coastal setting—perfect for a relaxing gourmet tour.
Day 5

No stay in Cartagena would be complete without a visit to the offshore islands & waterpark of Islas del Rosario. Visit the San Martin Island natural aquarium, and watch a dolphin and shark show. Lunch is included on this tour. Continue to the Pirates's Island and take a refreshing dip in the crystal waters of the Caribbean. In the evening enjoy a meal in one of Cartagena's best restaurants, included in your tour.

Tall, slender palm trees scattered across bright green hills and valleys, with mountains in the background under a blue sky—a classic Colombia Coffee landscape.
Day 6

After breakfast, this morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Pereira. Once in Pereria, your guide will meet you and take you to The Colombian coffee Region, also known as the Coffee Triangle. At a coffee "finca" plantation, you'll spend two nights relaxing among the tranquil coffee fields, tasting fresh coffee and learning about the coffee-making process.

Close-up of a coffee plant branch with clusters of red and green cherries, surrounded by large green leaves, set against a blurred outdoor background—capturing the essence of Brazil Coffee Region's lush fields and Colonial Highlights.
Day 7

Wake early to the rich aroma of freshly-brewed coffee, and have a hearty breakfast at the finca. Then take a day tour of the Los Nevados National Park and the surrounding coffee plantations. The scenery here is spectacular: lush, rolling green hills spread out in all directions, stopped only by the Los Nevados volcanoes and peaks. For lunch, eat at one of the haciendas and learn more about Colombian-style coffee beans.

A front view of a large white commercial airplane on the tarmac, its boarding stairs extended, welcomes passengers for a Colombia tour. People and equipment are near the aircraft, set against dry hills under a clear blue sky.
Day 8

Wake once more to the aroma of Colombian coffee, and then head to the airport for the flight from Pereira to Bogotá, and then catch your international flight home. Depending on your flight schedule, you may want to opt for an additional night in Bogotá before your international departure.

If you want to extend your Colombia tour, we highly recommend spending more time in the Colombia coffee region. View our in-depth Colombian coffee tour here.
