Sample Itinerary & Cruise Routes

Day 1

Upon arrival, a Cormorant representative will assist you in the airport (through immigration and baggage claim), and then transfer you to the yacht. Once on board, settle your belongings in your cabin and check out the balcony before heading to the welcome briefing and lunch.

In the afternoon, visit Santa Cruz Island, where you can spot giant tortoises and bird sanctuaries. Santa Cruz has a unique terrain, consisting of a humid cloud forest, something completely different than the dry-coastal areas that are typical in the Galapagos.

Three people stand behind three large Galapagos tortoises on sandy ground, green bushes in the background. One person appears to be explaining something to the others during their Galapagos Cruise adventure.
Day 2

In the morning, visit the Tintoreras Islet or Sierra Negra. Tintoreras is an excellent place to spot a variety of wildlife. White-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos penguins, marine turtles, and sea lions can be spotted in the turquoise waters. If you visit Sierra Negra, you will experience impressive views of the Galapagos, as well as the opportunity to spot 7 different species of finches and a rich display of vegetation.

Later, head to the Tortoise Breeding Center on Isabela Island. While here, you will hike through the Wetlands, spotting a unique variety of bird species with every step.

Two blue-footed boobies stand on rocks near the shore, their bright blue feet contrasting with white and brown plumage—an iconic sight on any Galapagos cruise. In the background, turquoise sea and boats sit beneath a cloudy sky.
Day 3

Wake up early and head to Moreno Point, and land where hot lava was once flowing. Pink flamingoes flock around the craters and tide pools that have formed. If you look carefully into the tide pools, you might see white-tipped reef sharks and some sea turtles swimming beneath the surface.

Midday, visit Elizabeth Bay. You will experience a traditional panga (Zodiac ride) here, passing by the mangroves and wildlife that inhabits the bay. This area is known for its marine life. Make sure to look out for brown pelicans, Galapagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, and humpback whales.

A snorkeler wearing a mask and snorkel swims underwater next to a sea turtle in clear blue water—a breathtaking moment often experienced on a Luxury Galapagos Cruise. The snorkeler and the turtle are facing each other closely.
Day 4

Embark on a trip to Mangle Point, where visitors are gifted with incredible views of wildlife on the coast of Fernandina Island. Snorkeling here is very popular. The sea lions that are resting in the area might even join you for a swim!

Later, land at Urbina Bay, a place of fascinating geological formations. Here, you can spot stingrays, sea turtles, flightless cormorants, pelicans, and more. There is also an incredible view of the Volcano Alcedo.

A marine iguana stands on a white sandy beach near the shoreline under a bright blue sky—a stunning scene often admired during a Luxury Galapagos Cruise, with the ocean and distant low vegetation in the background.
Day 5

Sail to Fernandina Island, a place where foreign species never invaded. This pristine land is home to a plethora of ecosystems. While you're here, check out the volcano "La Cumbra," which overpowers the land space with lava fields that stretch out to the ocean. Next, head to Espinosa Point. Walk past marine iguanas and a group of sea lions, until you reach the flightless cormorant nesting site. You might be able to see a Galapagos Hawk here.

Later, check out Vicente Roca Point on Isabela Island. This large bay has spectacular marine life. Keep your eyes open for seahorses, sea turtles, and mola-mola sunfish.

Three sea turtles swim above colorful coral reefs in clear blue ocean water, with sunlight streaming down and small fish in the background—an unforgettable sight on a Galapagos Cruise aboard the luxurious Petrel Catamaran.
Day 6

Grab your bathing suit because Egas Port is a fabulous place to swim and snorkel. What was once a popular place to find salt, food, and water, has now become a flocking nest for fur seals and marine birds. Next, head to Buccaneer Cove, a spot where pirates used to visit in the 16th-century, to stake out. Instead of finding pirates here, you will now find sea turtles. This is also a great place to snorkel.

In the afternoon, visit Espumilla Beach. Walk along the beach, through a mangrove forest, until you find flamingoes, pintail ducks, and other wildlife. You can snorkel and swim at the beach.

A small brown and white finch with a thick orange beak stands on a dark, porous rock—a classic sight you might witness on a Galapagos Islands Cruise, against the blurred backdrop of sandy shores.
Day 7

Get ready for a morning hike, because this morning, you will be hiking up Prince Philip's Steps on Genovesa Island. This steep, rocky path takes you to incredible views of the surrounding islands, worth every step. Later, visit Darwin Bay, a popular place to see Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies, iguanas and swallow-tailed gulls. The various wildlife is sure to keep you company.

The M/C Cormorant, a large white and navy blue yacht, floats on calm blue water with a rocky, brown hillside and partly cloudy sky in the background—perfect for an unforgettable Galapagos cruise.
Day 8

With the last bit of time you have in the Galapagos, explore North Seymour Island. Here, you can spot sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and magnificent frigatebirds. After exploring, it will sadly be time to say goodbye. With help from a Cormorant representative, head to the Baltra Airport for your flight to your next destination!
