Example Itinerary – Fully Customizable

Day 1

Transfer from Iquitos airport to Explorama dock followed by a transfer down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops, where you will spend a comfortable and exciting stay.

During the afternoon, hike around the rainforest reserve surrounding Ceiba Tops, with the beautiful views of tall trees with creepers around them.

Evening walk to a small lake to spot caimans, insects and frogs. These creatures can only be seen at night, and listening to their mesmerizing sounds is a unique experience.

Day 2

During the morning, get on a boat and ride around the river in search for the friendly pink and gray dolphins. Then, arrive at a small Yagua community village, to learn about their culture and how it’s changes from its origins to the colonial times, and finally to nowadays. Yagua people will show their handicrafts and their particular ancient hunting methods with blowguns.

Walking trip to Indiana, a place that started as a Franciscan mission and has become a large developed town.

Day 3

Trip and transfer to ExplorNapo Lodge, located on the banks of Napo River, an Amazon River affluent. There, you will have a delightful breakfast.

Excursion to the Canopy Walkway, 115-feet high. No climbing skills are required since it’s easy to access. From there, you will appreciate the lush Amazonian flora and fauna from a different perspective, and get a better understanding of what goes on above the canopy.

Visit to the ReNuPeRu Ethnobotanical Garden, where local shamans will explain all the medical properties of the 240 species of plants living there.

Return to Ceiba Tops.

Day 4

During your last morning, you will have the chance to go on an excursion by your choice, either by land or by river. The pool, the hammocks, and the rest of Ceiba Top’s facilities are at your complete disposal until your departure time.

During the afternoon, you will be transferred back to Iquitos and then, to the airport.
