Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción Lodge

Arrive at Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción, where the staff will welcome you. After you have familiarized yourself with the lodge, walk along Concepcion Trails, where you can learn about the primary and secondary rainforest.

At dusk, participate in the Twilight River excursion, where an experienced guide will sail with you along the Madre de Dios River. While cruising, you will learn about the diverse ecosystem, animals of the night, and the bright southern constellations.

Today, hike through terra firma into the Tambopata National Reserve towards Lake Sandoval. On your journey there, you will be amazed by the natural beauty that surrounds you. Once you have arrived at the lake, take a canoe ride along the waters and look out for giant river otters, vibrantly colored macaws, and black caiman.

Later, join your tourmates in the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway. Ascend two 98-foot towers for a breathtaking view of the rainforest. Watch as white-throated toucans perch on trees, and squirrel monkeys dangle from branches.

At night, head out for your Rainforest by Night excursion. Listen to the living sounds of the jungle as you penetrate into this unknown world.

Enjoy your final breakfast at the Lodge, and say your farewells to the friendly faces you have been accustomed to seeing. One of the staff members will escort you back to Puerto Maldonado by canoe, where you can visit the Butterfly House before your flight back home or to your next destination.
