The ancient culture of the Incas in Cuzco and Machu Picchu are yours to discover on this glimpse into the mysteries of Peru. In Peru we have chosen two golf courses for you, one in Lima and the other one in Arequipa. A great highlight is the train ride in the Orient Express from Cuzco through the Andes to Puno, to the Titicaca lake!

Day 1

Arrive in Bogotá, where you will be welcomed by a bilingual travel guide and transfer to your hotel (stay of 3 nights). Take a city tour of Colombia's capital city. Visit the Plaza de Bolívar and the surrounding government buildings; to the colonial centre and the old city of "La Candelaria". Visit the impressive San Francisco and La Tercera churches, and the world-Museo del Oro. For a spectacular view of the city and the Savannah fields, take a cable car to Monserrate Hill.

Day 2

The La Cima Golf Club was founded in 1990 and is probably the best public golf club in Colombia. The course is one of the highest in the world!

Day 3

Board you flight from Bogotá to the Caribbean Coast, destination Cartagena. A local travel guide will transfer you to your hotel located in Cartagena's Bocagrande district, directly overlooking the beach. Rest of the day will be at your disposition.

Day 4

After breakfast, spend the day in Cartagena, one of the most impressive urban centres in Latin America, oozing Caribbean flair and joie de vivre. It is an ancient city constructed in the Spanish colonial style, surrounded by high defense walls soaked with history and culture. The tour takes you to the old city, whose historical buildings and plazas will be visited, including the "La Popa" convent and "San Felipe" castle. The afternoon will be free for you to lose yourself in the streets of old Cartagena or take a dip in the Carribean.

Day 5

Enjoy at Cartagena the Golf Club Campestre de Cartagena with 18 holes, Par 72 and 6901 yards blue course, 6464 white course and 5822 red course.

Day 6

Participate in an excursion to Islas del Rosario National Park. While visiting, take a tour of San Martín Island natural aquarium, where you can enjoy a dolphin or shark show or take a trip to the privately owned Pirate's Island. Swim, rest, or go diving in the mild and crystalline waters of the Caribbean. In the afternoon, return to Cartagena. In the evening, regroup for a meal at one of the splendid restaurants of the old town.

Day 7

In the morning, transfer to the airport and board your flight to Lima, with one stop in Bogotá. Upon arrival in Lima, meet your local SouthAmerica.travel guide or representative at the airport and transfer to the Country Club Lima Hotel. In the afternoon, take a stroll in the capital city of Peru, where you can get lost in the old town. In the old town, visit the Main Square surrounded by the Cathedral and the Government Palace, and the Monastery of San Francisco. Continue your city tour through the residential areas of Lima and end in the modern district of Miraflores on the Pacific coast.

Day 8

The famous Lima Golf Club expands about 3600m in the San Isidro district which is one of the most exclusive destricts of Lima. Not only the beauty of the nature and the club as well the central position of the course in the city attract many golf lovers.

Day 9

Transfer to the airport for your quick flight to Cuzco. Listen to some music and enjoy your fast hour in the air, until you arrive in Cuzco. Your airport transfer to the hotel will be waiting for you. After you get settled in your hotel in the Main Square, spend the rest of your morning at leisure as you get used to the altitude. In the afternoon, let the city introduce itself to you as you walk by thethe old capital of the Inca Empire, including the Cathedral and the Korikancha (the ancient temple of the Sun), as well as the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and Qenqo.

Day 10

Rise and shine! You have an early morning ahead of you, as you make your way to Machu Picchu. Take a 3-hour scenic train journey to the town of Aguas Calientes, where a shuttle bus will escort you to the entrance of the ruins. There, take a guided tour of Machu Picchu, the "Lost City of the Incas", with its fabulous architecture and astonishing landscapes. Later, enjoy a delicious lunch and return by shuttle bus to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon you will return to Cusco by train. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Day 11

One of the highlights of the Peru, Chile, Colombia Golf Tour is the train ride from Cuzco to the Titicaca Lake destination Puno. The famous train of the Andes, organized by Orient Express, embarks on its journey early in the morning. Its route will pass through snowed mountain chains, small farming villages, Vicuñas, and sightings of lamas and alpacas. There will be stops on the way, giving its passengers the opportunity to buy souvenirs, handcrafted goods, and to listen to the locals playing music.

The highest point reached on this train ride is the La Raya Pass at an altitude of 4.319m. Look out your window at the rushing water making its way into the Pacific coast. Lunch time on board of the train is included. Once you have arrived at your destination Puno, check into the hotel, and then sight-see for the rest of the day. The grave towers of Sillustani on a peninsula at the Umayo-Lake are worth a visit.

Day 12 - 13

In Puno, you will have the option to visit Lake Titicaca, which is the largest and bluest South American lake. Divided into two parts, one section of the lake belongs to Peru and the other to Bolivia. Take a boat ride along the lake, experiencing the best of "both worlds." Afterwards, you will have a bus ride to Arequipa, passing once again some beautiful landscapes! In Arequipa check into your hotel and relax.

The Golf Club of Arequipa is a great place to practice your swing! (18 holes, Par 72, 6980 yards).

Day 14

Meet your English-speaking driver at the Santiago airport, and transfer to your hotel in Santiago. Your hotel will be located in the heart of the city, giving you perfect access to drive up to Cerro San Cristobal, where you will have a marvelous view of the Andes. While here, visit a small wine museum at the Enoteca restaurant and get your first impression of the fabulous Chilean wine producers and their wine. Enjoy your Welcome Dinner at the Camino Real Restaurant!

Day 15

The Araucarias Golf Club Santiago de Chile has a beautiful 18-holes course. The club is a privileged place full of exceptional conditions. Besides the pristine green, there are illuminated tennis courts, a swimming pool for all ages, and many other golf-induced facilities.

Day 16

After Breakfast head to the Casablanca Valley, only an hour away from Santiago, for some wine tasting. Its weather conditions allow the production of white premium Chilean wines. You will spend your time at the Veramonte vineyard, one of the biggest in Chile. Take a tour of the vineyard to learn about the history of its wine production before tasting it. Later, visit the Casas del Bosque Winery, where an enologist will show you to their elaborate wine cellars. Lunch at the winery's restaurant accompanied with the local wine.

After lunch, embark on an excursion to Valparaíso, the oldest port in Chile. Take a city tour, visiting the new government houses, the Plaza Sotomayor, the Plaza Victoria, the cathedral, and the harbor area. High above the city there is a fantastic agglomeration of brightly painted homes. The upper and lower parts of the city are connected with 16 funicular railways constructed around the turn of the century when the city experienced tremendous growth. From Valparaíso, continue along the coast to the beautiful beaches of Viña del Mar, the Garden city, named for its many parks and green spaces. Take some time in one of the most attractive ones, the Parque Quinta Vergara with an amphitheater and the Museo de Bellas Artes. Viña del Mar is a lively city with attractive beaches, modern hotels, high-end restaurants and fashionable bars. Return to Santiago.

Day 17 - 19

The course of 36 holes is surrounded by the snowcapped Andes. This golf course is the most modern of all the golf courses in Chile. There are two circuits which can be played by all players and for both the courses are a perfect challenge!

During your time here, visit Santa Rita. The company currently has a total of four cellars for the wine producing process located in Alto Jahuel, Los Lirios, Palmilla, and Lontué. French and American oak barrels are used in the aging cellars, where wine acquires complexity and body, with a woody flavor and a soft and delicate aroma. One of Chile's oldest aging cellars is located in Alto Jahuel (Buin.). Viña Santa Rita's best wines, like Casa Real and Medalla Real Cabernet Sauvignon for export, are aged in the cave of this storehouse. This cellar was built with stone masonry by French architects and has been declared a National Monument. After visit transfer to Santa Cruz. Dinner and overnight in the 4* Santa Cruz Hotel.

Visit three more wineries on the Valle de Colchagua with their own history and charm. Learn about the latest technology incorporated into the production of their fine wines, which you will have the chance to taste and acquire at special prices. Visitors are accompanied by guides who speak Spanish, English, French and German. With great warmth, the visitor will be able to discover the reasons behind the best of Chile's wines.
