Travel insurance is highly recommended for any trip to South America. At a minimum, your policy should cover trip cancellations, interruptions, and medical care.
Some countries may even require proof of insurance upon entry or during the visa process.
Before purchasing, check if you already have coverage through your health insurance or credit card provider. Then fill any gaps with a dedicated travel insurance plan.
If your itinerary includes trekking, high-altitude destinations, or remote regions, make sure your policy explicitly covers those activities.
You are not required to use any of the providers listed above.
Our travel experts are happy to help you choose the right insurance for your trip so you can travel with confidence.
