Weather in Guyana
The weather in Guyana is fairly constant year-round. This is a warm, humid, tropical country. Temperatures are typically mid to upper 20s centigrade in Georgetown and moderated by coastal winds.
The coast has two wet seasons (though rain occurs year-round) – from April to August and from December to early February. Further south, in the savannahs towards Brazil, there is only one wet season – April to August.
Typically, rainfall is in the form of heavy afternoon showers or thunderstorms. It is quite rare to have entirely cloudy days, you’ll almost always get several hours of sunshine.
