Los Glaciares National Park Tours & Perito Moreno Glacier tour

Los Glaciares National Park is one of the most visited regions in Argentina and a cornerstone of many Patagonia tours. Located in southern Patagonia, the park contains some of the largest glaciers outside the polar regions, including the famous Perito Moreno Glacier along the shores of Lake Argentino. Most travelers base themselves in El Calafate, which provides convenient access to glacier viewpoints, boat excursions, and trekking experiences throughout the park. Because weather conditions and daylight hours vary significantly by season, the best itinerary often depends on when travelers plan to visit Patagonia.

Many Los Glaciares National Park tours combine a visit to Perito Moreno Glacier with time around El Chaltén and the Fitz Roy mountain range, creating a balance between glacier viewing and hiking. Some travelers choose scenic catamaran excursions along Lake Argentino, while others opt for guided ice trekking on the glacier itself. Wildlife sightings can include guanacos, rheas, condors, and other species adapted to Patagonia’s harsh environment. These experiences are often paired with broader Argentina itineraries that connect Los Glaciares with destinations such as Torres del Paine, Bariloche, or Buenos Aires.
